Gearbox - ZF 4HP500 .Originally posted by SBS7484P:can anyone tell me the gearbox for the LO3X, and what are the ratios?
Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Then its not DIWA 381.4 for SC MKIV liao . MK3 uses DIWA 381.4 , same as Scania CRBs . So should be DIWA 863.3 . Anyway it isnt same as VO2x i think. VO2x uses DIWA 851.3 , just same speed , but different ratings .
lol okay..Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Gearbox - ZF 4HP500 .
Ratios - Don't know.![]()
The ratios are all the same, cos same gearbox. It's simply how they tune the gearbox.Originally posted by SBS7484P:lol okay..
just wanted to kno.. cos i like the sound of LO gearbox, VO ratios abit too high

I have a print out of the Technical Data for the ZF Ecomat automatic transmission. The gear ratios for the 4HP500 is as follows:Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Gearbox - ZF 4HP500 .

Strange . Whats the weight of the Habits ? I rmbr the Habits' OM447hLA engine produces 1100Nm.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:I have a print out of the Technical Data for the ZF Ecomat automatic transmission. The gear ratios for the 4HP500 is as follows:
1st: 3.43
2nd: 2.01
3rd: 1.42
4th: 1.00
Rev: 4.84
Other datas:
Max. permissable input speed: 2800 rpm
Max. weight at engine torque (I'm not sure what this mean);
for city bus: 19 tons, 1100 Nm
for artic: 28t, 1050 Nm
Weight: 300 kg
Voiths are very easy to know . But the .3 .4 part very complicated , due to different versions.Originally posted by SBS3625D:Voith types never fail to confuse me.
I assume that you can downtune the engine to suit the gearbox. The things must match not really like on the borderline...Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Strange . Whats the weight of the Habits ? I rmbr the Habits' OM447hLA engine produces 1100Nm.
Oh yes , whats reverse gear ratio for Voith DIWA 381.4 and DIWA863.3 ?
Seriously no point lah. Cause ZF did offer gearboxes that matches the engine performances . You cut power and you actually cause the engine to work even harder , hence eating more fuel .Originally posted by TIB1224Y:I assume that you can downtune the engine to suit the gearbox. Its interesting, I will try the ratios on the game tt you and I know...
does tt game happen to be RoR??Originally posted by TIB1224Y:I assume that you can downtune the engine to suit the gearbox. The things must match not really like on the borderline...

Theres even the Volvo 8500 with 3 axles .Originally posted by SBS7484P:o.0 the 3 axle DD is out?? guy called seahkelvin asked for it in ror forums.. ^^
i managed to voith a bus.. 1st-3rd gear like voith, draggy..
then onwards cannot liao, cos the thing lost power if i carry on and try to voith it
edit: the voith-like gearing is optimised for auto trans.![]()
.3 and .4 are just codes for the different differential input clutch housings for compatibility with different engine types.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Voiths are very easy to know . But the .3 .4 part very complicated , due to different versions.![]()
