That's 98A... It loops at Corporation Place. Instead of going straight after flyover, it turns left b4 the flyover.Originally posted by FBI:we all know it loops at jurong port area, but how come sometime the buses go diff direction and not from its usual route? With no passengers of course.
oh.. but the buses some don have the A behind? how to diff it?Originally posted by azharjj:That's 98A... It loops at Corporation Place.
Usually, When the bus turns left before the flyover, There will be less or no pax at all coz there's not much demand.![]()
Some buses at the front & side display "98A" but at the back it displays "98" coz it's either the driver forgot to change or not enough 98A destosOriginally posted by FBI:oh.. but the buses some don have the A behind? how to diff it?
sometimes only..Originally posted by azharjj:Some buses at the front & side display "98A" but at the back it displays "98" coz it's either the driver forgot to change or not enough 98A destos
Btw, do u see the front & side display "98A" ?
That means you are trying to say that u saw a 98 bus with full 98 destos that is empty and goes in different direction ?Originally posted by FBI:sometimes only..
most only display 98
dunno wat its destos..Originally posted by azharjj:That means you are trying to say that u saw a 98 bus with full 98 destos that is empty and goes in different direction ?
sorry, destos is destination plates...Originally posted by FBI:dunno wat its destos..
but the situation is svc 98 after the caltex petrol station it moves on to jurong logistics hub and does the loop.
but sometimes in fact most of the times i saw some svc 98 bus at diff way(route) and turns into jurong logistics hub and does a loop or something which i dunno?
Ya... I find this weird. it will confuse the commutersOriginally posted by FBI:weird.. so how do the ppl know wat bus to take since can't diff it?
but both buses still turn back to JE right? jus that diff route?Originally posted by azharjj:Ya... I find this weird. it will confuse the commuters
I think to know which direction the bus is heading, look at the side destination rectangular plates... They will tell you whether it is jurong east or jurong pier rd![]()
No...Originally posted by FBI:but both buses still turn back to JE right? jus that diff route?
Originally posted by azharjj:oh i see.. understands..
No...
The bus-stop in [b]BOLD serves 2 DIFFERENT 98 route
1) 98 (towards Jurong East)
2) 98 (towards Jurong Island checkpoint)
Eventually, 98(towards Jurong Island Checkpoint) will come back to same bus-stops again and thereafter go back to Jurong East

no way to diff it too?Originally posted by azharjj:This reminds me of service 60...
One turns left to Eunos & One turns right to Bedok...![]()
got.Originally posted by FBI:no way to diff it too?
There's one portion of road where 2 bus-stops serves 2 different 60 routesOriginally posted by FBI:no way to diff it too?
Now got new red with white plates (confusing for "new people/those not updated people" but regulars mostly know what they meant alreadyOriginally posted by azharjj:There's one portion of road where 2 bus-stops serves 2 different 60 routes
1)60 (towards Eunos)
2)60 (towards Bedok)
But at least, this one very clear to know...
When you see a red plate infront of the bus, the bus goes to Eunos
When you see a white plate infront of the bus, the bus goes to Bedok
does this applies to svc 98?Originally posted by SBS9889U:Now got new red with white plates (confusing for "new people/those not updated people" but regulars mostly know what they meant already(Refer to the meaning in my previous post).
On the other hand, some 60A buses will put the 60A normal square desto at the front of the bus.
But as to why 60 have to serve this way is due to historical reasons.
No more full red or full white colour plates ? Oh ic... I didn't know that.Originally posted by SBS9889U:Now got new red with white plates (confusing for "new people" but regulars mostly know what they meant already(Refer to the meaning in my previous post).

Unfortunately, no...Originally posted by FBI:does this applies to svc 98?
Still have full red/ full white colour plates (In fact majority of the fleet still using that now just that the merged colour plate was introduced lately).Originally posted by azharjj:No more full red or full white colour plates ? Oh ic... I didn't know that.
60 was served like this because to call at the bus-stop at the so-called "inverted C" Bedok Res Rd in the direction of Bedok not only to eunos right ?
