  Such a thing is very rare. It would have been impossible to have all four buses replaced all at once. But since this is a Saturday schedule, let it be. SBS 3701S went to 225W, but I could not explain whether it did a swap with 3688Y since I did not take 225 as part of my rides today.

  The Airshow was a publicity disaster, besides the long queue at Pasir Ris in the morning (due to the small amounts of buses they have deployed, and the fact that the company they chartered their buses from is not infamous for its standard of service), there was the jam along Loyang Ave, another jam along the Aviation Park Rd (the road/taxiway leading to the exhibition center), the queue before the security checkpoint, the queue after the security checkpoint, the expensive but not impressive food. Although the organizer and SMRT finally realized in the afternoon that they were short of buses and added more buses into the shuttle. Things like 629U, 1182J, 1244P got roped into the shuttle from 67 and 969.

  The last time Reed Exhibitions did Asian Aerospace 2006, they did a better job, got a more decent bus company for charter, and got food and beverages stores over the place. There was a queue at Pasir Ris Int then, but it was way shorter than the current one.

  2006: Queue was from the Newspaper kiosk to the Tekong shuttle berth.
  2008: Queue was from the MRT to interchange, then u-turning back pass the MRT till Pasir Ris Central and then left turn to follow the whole length of White Sands along Central until the access road leading to white sands, then u-turn towards the MRT, then pass the MRT to the shuttle bus stop just right after the Sv 3 bus stop along Pasir Ris Central. Best thing was, there were DDs which can seat (and stand) more people than the current seating-only (except for some buses) bendies for the shuttle (they sort of restricted people to seating only).

  SMRT today ropes in 80 bendies

  The prob is the small bus/ coach area and usage of ADD clears bottleneck faster... Furthermore with only 1 SMRT staff and no others to maintain crowd control, SOC officers ended up deployed to act as bus inspectors

  Anyway the bus/ coach area is way too small... I wonder for those guest heading to City Hall & Hotels... Stucked into this crap

  With less than 30 bendies and they are hoping to clear the large crowd that were there at the airshow ? This goes to show how inexperience that DSTA and ST has in planning of events like this.
  So what if there is a new and bigger site when they cant even cope with the problem of transporting the large number of ppl there to the site ???

  Tat location as in coach bay, you add to 80 bendy buses also no use

  Ytd morning, 30 buses was waiting for the 6 buses tat was at the coach bay alighting passengers

  same as for afternoon, tens of buses awaiting to enter the small bay to pick up passengers.. Simply all the services are just squeezed into that small pathetic 'coach bay' i.e. to City Hall, Orchard & Expo as well

  Aircraft being towed to CAB in between times does no help either
