oh ya bus 151 frequency is really very bad. so bad that i have never taken that bus before. (normally sometimes i will take different buses for fun de)
Last time, they complain about Non Aircon buses on 151.
Now give them aircon, they complain that the bus is always full...
What do they want ???

prev complain wasn't just NAC, overloaded buses was also an issue
I think you like to see the bus you wanna take skip the bus stop cos its packed

i can have 3/4 Buses coming in at the same time but i can't even board the bus.

Dun think so, 179 freq quite decent, except the usual morn long queue which even continuous stream of buses coming couldn't solve.

Or at 1pm, 1 overloaded Sv 151 bus spotted at KAP

25mins, one 151 come. Full. Wait for another 25mins, another full bus.
Decided to take other buses, transfer to mrt or cab.

Do you know thanks to NTU that 179A was introduced? It was after rounds of inspection and studies that they added 2 buses concurrently with the introduction of 179A?
There was also an on-site audit as well.

for me i am rather impartial to 151. i kinda like 151 cause it uses them mark 2s. i will only take the mark 2s on 151 for rides.
its is not a good idea to take 151 into campus in the morning hours of course. the situation is bad. but with downroute 151A opposite direction got help. at most NUS students shd be smart enough to take an alternative service down to HCJC there n wait for the reverse 151As where there are seats. otherwise get off at NUS Law n take the campus shhuttle BTC1. i mean if they have bus pass cna do that.
i find these educated NUS students dun move to the rear also. rear got ghost? rear got smelly toilet. i dunno. they juz dun like to squeeze in. its the same on 95. rear even may have seat.
but i agree that everybody wants a seat. very smart NUS students will tehrefore squeeze n shove to the rear n find the magic seat that nobody taken. i do that all he time. but i dun really see these kind of NUS students who try to find the magic seat at rear....
however when it comes to off peak 151 rocks.
especially on sunday. take a 151 ride on a mark 2. wow they can really chiong. u can go from hougang to bt timah o 35 mins flat.
The potential for 151 to be a good service to NUS students is there. but the students shd cooperate n move to he rear fast, alight fast, board fast to not cause the delays to 151 buses n add cause to bad frequncies
or maybe SBS shd go audit 151 and perhaps add 3 or 4 buses....

bus 325 sucks
Everyone living near Hougang Green will tell you so. Everyone. Just sit at the bus stop and you will hear the people complaining already. Why? There are 20~30 mins wait at times, and on some instances, bus bunching.
325 problem is route very long to go certain places.
siince route is long, the buses jam up n get bunched.
sbs shd look into changing 325's route structure to townlink style . like the recent 372 amendment like that

the main prob is, it is the only bus that service us to the nearest NEL, hougang. Bus 101 does come to Hougang Green and to Hougang MRT, but one will have to take it through a 3 pt turn, and it will be a super long ride before we reach Hougang MRT

Walk to Buangkok Green
Take 161 to Hougang
OR
Walk to Buangkok Green
Take 43 to Buangkok MRT
Take 159 / 156 to Sengkang MRT
OR
Walk to Buangkok MRT
OR
Walk to Hougang Ave 8
Take 161 / 74 / 147
OR
Just take 101
Either way that i've mentioned, its faster than waiting at the bus stop for 325. Its all within a less than 5mins walk (Except walkin to Buangkok MRT which will take you about 10mins..). If you know how to tap into the technology and make full use of the SBST iris system, i dont see the problem of wasting so much time at the bus stop.

Yes i do agree that 325's route is kinda long due to the admendment in 2004 to serve Upp Serangoon Rd / Hougang Ave 2 / Ave 10.
I believe, what they could do is to reduce their run time for the trips during off-peak hours. This could speed things up abit.

I agree of what you've said. They are the ones of not moving to the rear of the bus most of the times and now they are also the ones who complaint that the bus is always full.
Who shall we blame ? The bus company that doesnt provide enough buses ? Or the students who are not moving to the rear that cause the bus to be "FULL".

It all depends... I still remembered last time SBS deploys inspectors at specific bus stops to make sure ppl moves in
Even so, based on my observation esp during off peak even if ppl moves in, many ppl might still be unable to board esp at Opp NP bus stop
Even those 5 buses you said, it may not be really packed after all
same is for sv 159 during cny time.. i notice tat 159 has horrible 'crowd' cos noone want to go back, den the front so full, back so empty.
