Sv 48: Extension to BNDEP & Kent Ridge
Premium Bus Sv fare revision
OMG, SBS wanted to upgrade Nite Owl to Premium Svs
how do you know?
And where can we get these updates?
I ever writen to SBS Transit about Svc 48 whether it can extend to Clementi passing through dover road, clementi road and clementi west . But they gave me a lame excuse saying clementi bus interchange too small existing bus service can fullfill that requirement....

Eh the fact is that Clementi Int is indeed too small for another service, go during peak hours and you will know.
Temporary Clementi Bus Interchange seems to be able more services
u mind posting the url or something?

I love the S48 extension. I'm very sure NUS students would stand to gain the most from the change. Likely route would be via Dover MRT. This would relief S96 and S95. best case scenario is to ply Kent Ridge Crescent. It also serves as an alternative to BTC1.
Maybe they should stop complaining about 151.. ![]()
bndep looks ready for the S48 amendment, if the deployment watchers know what i mean...

Quite expected for this 2 svcs. Svc 536 got a big difference compare these 2 services in loading.

The current freq for Svc 48 like a bit long.
Btw, does that mean BNDEP would take over?

Hmmmmm well having Svc 48 admend to Kent Ridge is the next best thing.. ideally i was hoping clementi.
Lets speculate about the route since its not out yet exactly . Hmmm based on the existing route.
I suppose it travels along Upper Changi Road - Holland Village then
................. --> Commonwealth Ave West --> Clementi Road --> Kent Ridge Terminal
................ --> Commonwealth Ave West --> North / South Bunoea Vista ---> Pasir Panjang Road --> Kent Ridge
.........--> Holland Road ---> Ulu Pandan Road ( Pine Grove) --> Clementi Road
I was really hoping it can detour abit around clementi neighbourhood like West Coast Road / Clementi West because its my neighbourhood
.............. --> Commonwealth Ave West --> Clementi Avenue 2 --> West Coast Road -->Kent Ridge Terminal
But it does not really make sense because it is detouring

Sv 48 can fight w/ BTC1 liao
But does not help at that Crown Ctr bus stop unless ppl switch ![]()
Looks like SBST have a big batch of premium service to be launch
Also there is a rejection for a new CT38
Hmm... Tat Bishan Park Condo one rejected and approved later
Apparently the issue got to the press & MP
I hope
1. Service 48 can follow service 95 to Kent Ridge
or
2. go to Commonwealth Ave followed by Commonwealth Ave West, Clementi Rd and then to Kent Ridge.
should the service 48 extension is going to happen.
I hope service 48 don't go CommonWealth Ave West all the way to Clementi because it duplicates with 106, 147. Besides, there is already serivce 7 to bring commuters from Napier Rd to Clementi, 105 and 106 to Commonwealth Ave West. Besides, there is also 165 to Clementi from Farrer Rd.
Has anyone thought that this move to extend 48 to Kent Ridge might be to improve route 200's frequency through a route merger?
how about amanded to Jurong East Int instead? I think impossible right...
here's the link:

OMG, SBST wanted to operate a 'Discovery Centre Direct'. ![]()
and now i know wats really called spamming. SBST does need more buses if it wants to operate more premium services without compromising on the frequency of basic services.

Its CONFIRMED that its from bndep to Kent Ridge. Its the route it takes after Buona Vista that is interesting.. bndep to Upp East Coast Rd is a straightforward route.
do u know the exact route>>?

i think got 90%, it is going via commonwealth ave west and then clementi road. not sure it will turn into NUS or not. If follow Sv 200 route, that mean it will be merging with Sv 200 and the PTC website will definitely show this. I dun think PTC will allow it to follow Sv 95 route, as it duplicate completely. other possibilities will be via (1) AYE, (2) Dover Road.
just wait and see. anyway, this was approved quite sometime back liao.. dunno when sBST will amend it?
Also, hopefully the frequency will improve, else those NUS students will complain again, if they have to wait 15 mins for sv 48.
