Deployment of TIBS bus (when they are brand new (history)

  i know this has been discussed before but it is still not solved 9and i cant find the old topic)

  does annyone here can confirm that DAfs were new to AMKDEp in 1996 n did services like 854 and 855?

   

  or are they new to KJDEp and the 852s i see with DAf in 1997 were misleading me?

  anyone have a complete list of new new DAf deployments in 1997?

   

  i know 182 used dafs when new so these guuys might be the missing ones in my list. anyone knows 182 info?

  Also i have some scania L113CRL rego  in  service 855 . how on earth do i epxlain that?

  I remembered TIB853M appeared on Sv 82 with the cyberway ad

  to me 853 first appeared on 851 but s82 was under amkdep as well so use the bus??/

  i have no record of any bendy ever doing 865...

  I onli noe the sole TIB886T & TIB887R first on 82 then to 864 (hmm..I dun recall bendy doing 865 before). Anyone knows about TIB425R & TIB426M first deployments?

  Did TIB1230D ever did 176? Thats was when it was before SMRT rebranding in 2004, bu i cant rmbr clearly. Anyone knows?

  Well, the Merc Volgren Bendies were first seen on 184 IIRC.

  Remembered when the Malaysian Lances were new to the SMRT fleet, that was when it was using the plastic blue front destos. They made 1st appearances on Jalan Kayu services 59 and 163 (TIB907S-TIB918K). Subsequently services 103, 169, 825, 853 and 854 also got the Lances with plastic blue destos. Services 855 and 980 also got the Lances after some Lances got its front EDS screen and also the fact that Jalan Kayu and Sengkang services came under SBS.

  2nd batch of UK Lances came in during 2000, they were 1st on service 980 (TIB1002X-TIB1004R). More UK Lances went into service 852.

  Tibs service 182 in the past used the Hispano DAFs which was from services 950, 951 and 952. Some WA DAFs like were also on service 182 when new. Service 182 was withdrawn in 1996 during the WL MRT route rationalisation.

  Those new buses that were new to AMDEP were actually Scania Striders. They came in about the same time together with the WA DAFs in late 1995 and the buses were quite similar in terms of interior design.

  Scanias were mainly on services 59, 103, 163, 169, 851, 854. DAFs were mainly on services 182 and 852. Service 160 (renumbered 980) also had perm Scanias and DAF fleets too, making the fleet rather interesting

  Only seen service 864 with box bendy before it was handed over to SBST.

  I think TIB425R and TIB426K did service 952 before it was withdrawn

  1230 was new to 963 it was never in KJDEp so i can't do 176

  after reading TIb1018's replies the scanias on 855 are due to the fact that 59 163 160 182 etc no longer were around under TIBS 9withdrawn or handed over to SBS) . hence the striders new new to AMKDEp were left around to do cameos before being dumped to woodlands services. Ie under then KJDEp circa 1996. (or if there was a woodlands depot in 1996...)

  TIB927J-TIB932T were brand new on service 169.

  Those TIB94x series were initially AMDEP SP. They went perm to service 866 after service 59 was extended to Sengkang and renumbered 866.
