I sense a major, major redeployment of buses across all three depots this month!
Major redeployment across all three depots from Sunday, 23 March 2008:
WLDEP >> KJDEP
75, 700, 970
KJDEP >> WLDEP
173, 177
AMDEP >> WLDEP
859
AMDEP >> AMDEP/WLDEP
171, 852
AMDEP/KJDEP >> AMDEP/WLDEP
61
Notice for WLDEP SLs indicates that:
- 75 SLs to take over 171, 859
- 700 SLs to take over 61
- 970 SLs to take over 173
- No SLs assigned to 852 yet, most probably to be filled by those affected from earlier 961 transfer
Only changes for SLs made known as of today. There may/may not be changes to bus deployments, which will be made known at a later date.

dis sounds absurd...tib1171r,can u further xplain abt dis xfers?
Wah this is just mayhem...
Quite sad to see that a depot so far away has to come and control service 173 and 177... I agree to the point that Bukit Panjang services can come under KJ but for BB? Too far dah...
Personally I feel that 700 and 970 coming under KJ is alright...
But for 173 and 177, dah man... 40 minutes off service runs? No overnight parking?
Better dun touch 189... Or else its going to sound bad...

Crazy 61 to give WLDEP!75 should be WLDEP/KJDEP.852 Should be AM/KJ,WTF the're doin?like that 985 should be KJ/AM lah...
This is totally rubbish. It will just screw things up and making it worse.

Agreed with you, makes life miserable for 61 & 852 WL SLs sia.925 indirectly is controlled by KJ/WL as 177 is under WL.Wonder why 852 are not partly control by KJ??Really kukucheow sia the depot managers.Maybe its time i concentrate more on SBST services which is more efficient.Someone should shoot a suggestion to SMRT Buses on this issue which is nuts
859 AMDEP to WLDEP still can understand, the rest is like.. CRAP!
852 is also part of BB route group which should be under KJDEP! I want DAFs! xD
And 173 to WLDEP? Clementi to Bukit Batok... does it go near WLDEP at all? Hmm...
Sounds VERY absurd to have 61 dual AM/WL... 61 terminates at BB which sounds reasonable to have it under KJ.
Hmm... BP services still acceptable lah.. considering 184 is under KJDEP also.
Anyway I do hope 852 and 171 can be under AM/KJ instead. I miss my Hinos and DAFs. =D
Time to see Volgren bendies on 859!
Here's something ironic... S197 xfer from hgdep to bndep no one make noise (especially for the fact that bndep already has many many buses under its care).
SMRT do rojak everyone complain ![]()

SMRT do rojak everyone complain
But SBS one is a more logical decision, as BN is closer to Bedok. SMRT one makes it further away! ![]()
It seems like WLDEP is taking over the Bt Batok bus services, whereas Bt Panjang services are going back under KJDEP.
Very ridicious to see why service 171 got to be partial AMDEP and WLDEP as the bus service is based on Yishun. Also don't see why services 106, 189, 920, 922, 941, 945 and 947 are not involved in KJDEP/WLDEP transfer.
If I am not mistaken, I think some Bt Batok bus services have overnight parking at the interchange itself.
For service 852, I remembered a year ago that an SMRT staff telling me that they are considering extending service 852 to Sembawang from Yishun. But till now no news about it.

Yup, 77, 173, 177, 189, and the feeders are the services which include overnight parking at BB Interchange in their timesheets. The duration for BB Interchange to KJ for refuel and back for overnight parking is about 59 minutes to 62, depending on times, and one way from KJ to BB in the morning is about 35 minutes (106S103) to the night, its 31 minutes (same shift).
Woodlands would need ten minutes more...
Very unpractical of SMRT to do this...

I sense a major, major redeployment of buses across all three depots this month!
I can sense too that some bendies in KJ may be transferred over to AM, and AM to WL, around the island...
After this should e a gradual change of services and their depots, mainly like said by fellow forumnite, BB over to WL control, BP to KJ control...
Sounds like KJ did control svc 700 (formerly Rapid 700) before too right?
I would be glad if 1223A, 1224Y and 1225U come under the same depot, but away with the 'kah zhua' on the last one man!
Similarly glad if they all land in AM...
What's crazy is that the number of services WLDEP controls is getting more and not lesser! The number of Yishun Interchange services controlled by Woodlands will be increased from 2 to 5, which is more than half of the trunk services.
Looks like NR1 will be using different buses already as it currently uses sv 171 AMDEP buses.
Looking at the rate things are going, I seriously won't be surprised if the new SMRT Buses will be out on WLDEP services in late March or April.
Latest update:852 will be WLDEP/KJDEP controlled.925 on weekdays is indirectly KJDEP/WLDEP controlled as 177 is under WLDEP
