This means no more Lances on service 852, probably Scania and DAF fleets for service 852 instead. Those Lances may replace the Mercs on service 961 which might gets redeployed out from AMDEP.
Should also make service 882 a full WLDEP control too.

As much as I welcome the extension if true.. we must not forget sv 857 does not go anywhere near Woodlands/Sembawang and yet is 100% WLDEP.
Anyway.. service 171 also going WLDEP mah..

If 985 is going fully AMDEP I think the chances of it getting Lances is higher.

False alarm.. 852 is indeed going to be full WLDEP. Double-checked with depot notice to drivers. My apologies.
I say... dump all the Elbos onto this service! ![]()

857 is no longer using 964 bendies on weekends imo...
If last 2 weekends are of any indication, 857 is now using 856 perm bendies (1244, 1246 etc) on weekends instead...
And 856 gets the scanias as usual.

Service 857 has been with WLDEP ever since 14 Jan 2001. So I believe it could be arrangement of TIBS back then. Sometimes I see service 964 bendies on service 960. Think the permers are idling in depot. The 964 bendies could also be on 969.

The bendies now are rojak.. dumped from practically everywhere..
I heard that 852 will get full fleet Mercedes. Let's see how true is this. I seriously hope to see 852 or 857 extended to Sembawang.

14 Jan 2001, that was also the day when major redeployments took place also for other bus services:-
Service 167 from full WLDEP to become partial AMDEP/WLDEP
Service 851 from full WLDEP to become partial AMDEP/WLDEP, eventually became full AMDEP in March that year
Service 852 from full AMDEP to become partial AMDEP/KJDEP
Service 859 from full AMDEP to become full WLDEP
Service 980 from full AMDEP to become partial AMDEP/WLDEP
Service 857 was introduced on the same day and came under full WLDEP. Some Mercs were previously from service 851 under WLDEP.

Should rename Sembawang services to 88x series, since there is a service 882. Eg:-
Service 980
service 880
Service 981
service 881
Service 167
service 887
Service 859
service 889
For the same case SMRT should also have renamed service 700 to a 97x series after integrate with feeder service 921
(just like 521
963, 185
985, 175
975)

Transfer those AMDEP Mercs on service 961 back to its former WLDEP and become service 852's permers. then deploy those ex-852's UK Lances on service 961 in return.

How come 106, 920, 921, 941, 945, 947 not invloved huh?
Scania's on 171 is nothing new. 171 had heaps of Scania's when AMDEP had all the Scania's and when the Bukit Panjang services sucked all of its Mercs away.
confirmed from S-shift driver of TIB583S(852 cameo) today:
852 will be extended to Woodlands Regional Interchange and the current berths at Yishun Interchange will not be in operation. Commuters of 852 will board along Yishun Ave 2 at BLK 923.
Checked with my friends @ AM,he says that 985 will be majority AMDEP(9/10) & Minority KJDEP(5).Mean while if really 852 to extend till WRI it should be WLDEP/KJDEP.Chey one big round from WRI to BBT,SBW are more logical

Service 171 in the past had about 6 NAC Scania ELBOs and occasionally OAC Scania Strider cameos. It was also AMDEP/WLDEP controlled for a short period of time when WLDEP just began operations in Oct 1998.

By then service 985 will be full of Lances and very few DAFs ![]()
But is it really that service 852 going to extend to WRI?? ![]()

I see no point of extending 852 to Woodlands. First, it's too huge a loop. For now there's already 3 services from Woodlands to various parts of Bukit Batok. Why need a 4th and a super circuitious route when the 3 are so much more direct?
And which berth will sv 852 use? With 950 and 966??

Possibly Woodlands to Bt Batok via Sembawang?

I rather SMRT utilise their Sembawang bus interchange and put in more bus services to terminate there ![]()

Driver's information are not always accurate.

Now it's utilised as a split shift bus park.
