  No Nissans spotted on service 187 today.

  Yup, service 171 is now dual AMDEP/WLDEP controlled, that's why AMDEP Mercs are still with service 171 as well as WLDEP Scanias.

  That was why TIBS had full bendies for 859. SMRT always make some clever decisions. This load has been happening since SMRT had rigids on 859.

  Wonder if sv 980 fleet will improve at least with some Mercs?

  Well I am at least glad that TIB622M remains AMDEP/171... that bus had been perm on 171 ever since day one and even survived thru the dark days of the robbery by the North East. Not too happy with the load of Scania's now on 171 though.

  As for svc 852... we'll know the full extent of perms only tomorrow I guess. The generous numbers of Scania's on 852 today could be weekend deployment just like how 857 get its weekend bendies.

  I have not been out spotting today... anyone saw any changes to my beloved 851 bendy fleet today?

  Service 851 still about the same I think

  For service 852's status, so far only 3-4 Nissan UDs spotted, instead of 9. Most probably more lienent with the Sunday's deployments, or maybe 1st day only . Got to wait for tomorrow (which is a normal weekday) and see how.

  Service 106's AMDEP duties most probably steals bendies from service 859.

  Service 190 is most probably a crossover from KJDEP to AMDEP, similar to service 961's case from WLDEP to AMDEP.

  Not too sure also. The service standards for 980 has been dropping since 2004. Now with AMDEP controlling high volume services like 106 and 190, I think the chances of weekend bendies have to be from WLDEP.. which normally only put one or two buses..

  Service 980 bendy deployments on Sundays nowdays always depend on situation one, sometimes have a lot of bendies, sometimes just 1 or 2, worse till at times don't even have a bendy at all. Since that week during the airshow, no bendies are being rotated to do service 980 on those asigned bendy slots, they deploy back the usual Lance permers instead.

  In fact year 2004 was the year when CSS began to transfer its old Nissan UD fleets into SMRT, deproving the standards of SMRT compared to Tibs. Service 980 was the least affected. In fact, service 178 was the worst hit, having Scanias downgraded to old Nissan fleets. Bt Panjang feeders also suffered Nissans before too, but original Merc/Scania fleet back in 2006. Service 975 also had some of its DAFs downgraded to Nissan buses in 2007 after CSS walk into History.

  For now is to look out for service 852, since WLDEP just took over AMDEP and it seems that WLDEP had assigned majority Nissans, based on the WLDEP's duty roster (AMDEP used only full Lances fleet).

  As the Yishun INTERCHANGE Noticeboard indicates, these are the confirmed 852 perms, though the list is short of a few buses:

  CSS178K, CSS182Y, CSS187J, CSS191X, CSS193R, TIB373G, TIB1254K.

  To clarify something, CSS188G, CSS200D ARE NOT 852 WLDEP perms.

  The 852 list for yesterday (from Desmond):

  Anyway... back to Service 852.

  Checked the duty roster today at YIS INT, the 2 S-Shift buses are TIB 0835R and TIB 0373G. Hope this clears all doubts about S-shifts on 852. :)

  Last heard that WLDEP was scheduling new deployments for Service 852 (probably last minute ones)... seems like 852 sucking in more Scanias from former WLDEP 75 and 700 while the UDs are leaving...

  Spotted 2 box merc on 852 today. :)

  Anyway this is my review for taking 852 today (Start - Marymount Road; End - Yishun INT)

  • Waited for 852 for about 10 minutes.
  • CSS 0188G arrived at about 6.10pm, full to the door. BC didn't allow boarding.
  • After UD left, TIB 0636Z arrived within 1 minute. Bus was half-full. Was able to grab a seat.
  • TIB 0636Z met up with CSS 0188G after the bus stop near YCK Sec. Both BCs agreed that TIB 0636Z would overtake UD and help with the boarding passengers as CSS 0188G was full to the brim.
  • TIB 0636Z overtook CSS 0188G, chiong all the way while clearing bus stop loads of Service 852 pax. Bus only became 75% full after bus stop opp. AJC.
  • TIB 0636Z arrives in Yishun INT at 6.40pm, with CSS 0188G still trailing behind. Was not able to see CSS 0188G when I alighted from TIB 0636Z.
