Anyway, do DM3500s do 8N (given that is the only other viable choice of SD buses in SLBP for nite services)?
I am glad that the newer buses have comparatively comfortable engine sounds.
On a sidenote, N113 CRBs have nice engine sounds, but their vibration is annoying too.
The BC prefer MB 0405 ba.. For 8N, they currently using buses from Svc 66 & 502 cos 174 SD had become full K230UB

Took 560B on 8N and the engine noise when the bus was travelling on expressway was so defeaning, and so annoying, so irritating - I could barely tahan it.
Why does anyone like MBO405s? Speed?
Does anyone know why SBST's didn't want to choose Duple Metsec or Walter Alexender Bodywork for its K230UB?. I doubt Duple Metsec or Walter Alexender Bodywork will be used for any future buses. SBST has used Duple Metsec and Walter Alexender Bodywork for so many buses (except Volgren on VSO).
Anyone saw SBS 3904Z on svc 185 lately? I had been seeing SBS 2760C on SBS 3904Z slot.

Your question is equivalent as to why SBST never buy anymore leylands after the LOs.

This is because the LO3x were the last buses produced under the Leyland name.
why do some bus services have dedicated parking lots in the day e.g. S29/39 in tampines int & S15 in pasir ris int?
for S15/39 : their lots are those with no kerb ahead so they can just drive through.
whereas S29 gets one lot beside the S291 lots.

Sometimes the BCs don't even park at their allocated lots.

alright. thanks!
Why doesn't SBST bother to update information properly and timely? Very good example: Services like 151 became FAC since the Mark IIs were gone but its still indicated as PAC on SBST's website. There are many more examples. I rather they update information properly. I think it can give the impression that they are not updated to changes around them. Are they encourging us to take MRT? It seems to be the same thing goes for SMRT.

U think the staff very free like U??? ![]()
Today when i was at Bedok interchange, SBS9340K on 196 came. The engine of the bus was screaming very loudly and everybody was looking at the bus. Another BC informed the BC on 196 then went 2 inform the mechanic. He just opened up the engine than turned something than closed the bumper. The bus was still screaming. Whats the problem with this bus?

I remember taking a BB166 bus once (Batch 2 VO3x which I forgot the rego) and it screamed everytime it left the bus stop. I know fanbelt loose but it's screeching sound was so loud, there were passengers looking at the bus when it left.

The updating of bus stop details if I'm not wrong is the job of LTA/PTC.

why dun u ask SBST to remove the WA/DM bodyworks on those MK II and then transfer them to those K230 instead? Like that can save money mah.

so u mean u will go to SBST website and see whether a particular service is indicated as PAC or not. If it is PAC such as SV 151 or Sv 28, then u will not take these PAC services and will go take MRT instead? I think only you will do that. Pls tell me which SMRT bus service is PAC?
