My guess is that it is unlikely to happen.Where have the TV mobiles from the buses that are laid-up or scrapped for whatever reasons gone to? Perhaps they are sitting somewhere waiting for engineers to rig them up in one shot rather than 1 by 1? Hmmm.....
And because I really can't stand the TV in the bus concept and refuse to accept reality if they install it on the new buses.
So you hope SBS to scrap the TV mobile in the near future?

Hope...........it's such an easy word.![]()

Oic, as i was wandering when SBS is converting its fleet to WAB buses, will they still keep the TV in the bus concept?

9424 is still inside AMDEP. heard from a 86 driver that 9424 will be undergoing a makeover as it has been donated to some school. Scania has mentioned it before in the forum....

hi all..im new to this bus forum...
want to ask how frequent does the nokia music bus (svc 156) is deployed? Is that the one and only bus with those special seats?
another question...how are the bus services grouped according to their depots? by routes? nearest interchanges? was confused when i looked at the deployment list in sgwiki..
I'm loving this forum...coz i am a bus fan too...

NTU: 2818 ARBP 16, 2822 SLBP 174, 2837 BBDEP 151.

Mostly by nearest interchange.
However, there are some exceptions:
Eunos is under BRBP instead of HGDEP before.
Serangoon is under HGDEP instead of AMDEP.
Bishan is under AMDEP instead of BRBP which is closer.
St. Mikes is under AMDEP except 131 which got their parking lots transferred to BRBP.
The reason why the above 4 are true is due to the NEL Rationalisation a few years back, and hence the wierd depot controls.
Some other services have exceptional depot controls too. Example is 198. It's under BBDEP full control instead of ARBP/SLBP partial because BBDEP is somewhere in between the end points of 198.
If you have other individual services that you're not sure about, feel free to drop a PM. :)
Is SBS8109U perm on 119?on the service 119 deployment page @ sgwiki did not stated it wor>?![]()

I would say that it is due to the reorgnaization of the districts (possibly due to the need of more efficient operations). The previous East district (controlled by hgdep) ceased to exist and had to be split, and there was a need to have a more balanced amount of labour and other resources between the districts. so the decision was made to reorganize Serangoon under hgdep from amdep, Eunos under bram from hgdep, and because of this, Bishan went from bram to amdep, with a slight increase in travelling times (it takes 8-9 mins from amdep to BSI instead of 4 to 5 mins from BSI to bram (using St 11 and gate on the centre median of Braddell Rd which ceased to exist))
