What are inspector tickets for? Heard of them before..
(Me new to buses/sbst, pardon me if a lot of my questions are silly)
Anyone got pic of SBS3870L? The front rim of this bus is different from other Merc

Inspector tickets are for Ticket Inspectors to press and collect so as to know how many passengers have paid in cash. There will be a ticket range printed on the ticket.
May have other uses..
has 9800A ever plyed on 51 bef?
Service 106 was formerly under SBS. Based on the photo here: http://donald1852.fotopic.net/p51449540.html, the desto indicates that it plys between Serangoon and Bukit Batok back then. Was it shortened to Marina Centre Terminal when it was handed over to SMRT or somthing?

Don't think so. 106 was handed over to SMRT (TIBS) in 24 Dec 2000. The amendment was in 27 July 2003 as part of the NEL bus rationalisation.
Info from sgWiki

No. Its was only shortened to Marina Centre terminal when NEL opens in 2003. I heard that TIBS was forced to shorten the route

adding on, the LO3X on 106 back then were solely from AM side only?

Serangoon is under HGDEP. So when 106 was under SBS plying between Serangoon and Bukit Batok, probably it was BBDEP and HGDEP dual control. But I am not sure about where the LO came from.

I thought Serangoon was controlled by AM in the past? It's mentioned in sgwiki that 9143M used to be an AM 106 bus - http://www.sgwiki.com/wiki/Leyland_Olympian_3-Axle

I think so..can somebody confirm this?
Originally posted by collinnxk88:adding on, the LO3X on 106 back then were solely from AM side only?
106 didnt have BBDEP control.

Serangoon is under AMDEP in the past. So the LO on 106 came from AMDEP
miss the days when serangoon int is dominated by mercedes. remember when 82 was shortened to serangoon, it had mercedes and scania!
before that it had volvos
then when hg took over serangoon int, its fleet changes back to volvo again.... sian
101 also started out with mercedes and scania

Don't anyhow whack if know nothing. Don't know just ask, stop providing misleading info.
S106 was solely amdep control, fleet comprised of LO3X, Mercz and sole VO3X SBS9628G.
Serangoon Int was amdep's land, not hgdep's.
a few questions,
Q1) any new sbst/smrt svc in the coming month/s
