hi.. was taking a trip today when i saw someone tap his card on the reader then the green light lit up.. not only that, the middle light blinked too which i think was orange colour.. what's the middle light supposed to mean.. anyone knows? thanks!!

MK3s with such seats are refurbished.

Anyone here knows the former deplyments of Express service 505 , 508 , 511 & 512? i know that SBS739D used to serve 511 rite?

508 was 511's predecessor, 508 used Striders but 511 used a VO3x and mk3. 512 initially used Striders, but used mk3 after some time .

613, 648, 739, 9432 served 511

if i'm not wrong, Express service 505 is the predecessor of the now Express service 518. deployments wise, i believe it had MK4s in its fleet.

Also to add on, are the seats on the VSOs generic type of seats or made by Vogelsitez/some transport chair company?

so far nope. still the Arriane fabric bucket seats. very comfortable, but not comfortable if the u r "enjoying" sauna

Also, another question. Why SBST don't want to get all low-floor WABs, and instead get the K230UB which is half low floor, half high floor?

Because of costs and ease of maintenance. If not you would have seen N230UBs instead of K230UBs.

If my memory serves me right, Dennis Trident buses were also on route 511; not sure whether they were cameos or permanent deployments.

I remember that Express routes in the north-east area had a lot of Dennis Tridents - they were all over Express 502, and took them quite a number of times. It was quite a sight to see a modern, almost futuristically designed Dennis Trident among the older Leyland Olympians and Alanteans at the old Boon Lay Interchange then.
