Originally posted by Scania:No. They have single-planetary hypoid axles. New hub reduction buses are hard to find, even Merc and MAN aint really producing them. Though Merc has a 4 axle Actros truck with hub reduction on all wheels.
To add on, only Mercedes Benz Brazil are still producing buses with hub reduction axles on their O500M/MA (standard floor) and O500U/UA (low floor) chassis.
Interestingly due to this, all articulated MB chassis come with hub reduction as there are no O500LE articulated chassis. Remember that the O530 Citaros are integrals and are not available in chassis-only form.

May I know what u guys mean by "VSO" and "rigid bus" ???
Originally posted by lianamaster:May I know what u guys mean by "VSO" and "rigid bus" ???
VSO = Volvo Super Olympian or B10TL.
A rigid bus is simply a single-deck 12-metre bus. An articulated bendy or superlong bus is not a rigid.

Service 142 (4 buses)

Buses:
SBS331X SBS442J SBS568E SBS3910E
4 Mercedes-Benz O405 (3 DM / 1 CAC DM)Note:
Weekdays: 3AM-3PM / 1S / 1E (4 buses)
Saturdays: 3AM-3PM /1S / 1T (4 buses)
Sundays: 3AM-3PM / 1S / 1T (4 buses)
This service does jump bus.
the s shift will come in and take a bus and that driver takes the bus behind and cycle goes on till the end of the s shift. this lets drivers have a longer break and decrease turnover time or to facillitate mealbreaks.
