I was just wondering.. How to 'read' tickets?
(Photo (C) lifelikedrama)

1965 = rego
02DE = 2nd Dec -date
74e = service no. taken
2A = ?
05 = ?
3391=? (it seems like the ticket number printed. like the next one will be 3392. But it can't be the 3391th ticket printed right?)
18:09 = time
PA = ?
215c = Amount put in

2A = '2' determines direction 1 or 2, 'A' means aircon ('N' for non aircon buses)
05 = Fare stage
3391 = Ticket Serial Number
PA = Adult Fare ('PC' for child fare, 'PS' for senior citizen)

I see.. But the serial number does not start from 0001 right? I'm sure of that.. What number does it start from?

1 roll of ticket is enough to produce 5000 tickets. Ur ticket happened to be the 3391th ticket from that particular roll.

white start engine. red to stop engine.
How come some buses engine start to screech when the bus driver accelerates it to a certain extent? This morning i took SBS1984E and the screeching was irritating... I noticed that mostly the Striders have that problem.

Last time think they got say about it too - something about the fanbelt. Speaking of this area, how come SMRT's Scania L113s always have a sound when it does braking? donnoe how to describe the sound, but regular L113 takers will know wat im saying =)

Non air con buses just have 1 or 2. No more N liao
Child fare also have C for off peak and senior citizen will have S for off peak.

Speaking about weird sounds of buses, I noticed of the LO3X had this horrible sound when they brake while reversing.. Is it because of the age or what? Cuz I don't think the VO3X has them..

SBS9C is indeed a demo according to the HK guy's handbook, but was the 2nd demo. No mention of the first demo. And according to his book the bus is also in AMDEP then

Very unique for leyland

Typical for many Leyland buses, especially during morning start up. The sound comes from the brake drum. It happens when the cold brake shoe comes in contact with the drum.
