Hispano bodywork is quite expensive from Europe and considered to be "high class" to me and I also heard that SMRT Buses are assembled overseas before being shipped to Singapore unlike SBST Buses where the imported bodywork is assembled locally so it should be of good and durable quality. Therefore I am also quite surprised that such a thing happen.
First, it's TIB 700X, now it's TIB 874C. Coincidentally, both have Hispano-type fronts (the one on TIB 700X being a replacement for it's original and very different Walter Alexander front), and both are Kranji Depot buses. The one on TIB 700X was shattered by a stray rock, while the one on TIB 874C shattered for reasons unknown.
Sabotage? Unhappy commuter rebelling against the profit-greedy SMRT corporation rising bus and train fares? Or is it poor depot maintenance? Or just conincidental accidents?

It is a fact that SMRT is a profit-greedy corporation rising bus and train fares.

Do you have the exact pricelist to back what you've said? Are you very certain that Hispano is really very expensive?
Anyway, even if Hispano is expensive, it would be wise to invest on it IMO. Take a look at the Habits, even without much maintenance the bodywork is still reliable. Doors are working properly, even if aircon is not working, its not oven hot like the ELBOs. The quality is really there. Its all manufactured under european manfacturing standards. They also conform with European crash safety standards, particularly side impact and rollover tests.
Maintenance cost is very important in maintaining a vehicle. A vehicle with high maintenance cost isn't worth investing on. Not to mention its a danger to ride on for the commuters.

Maybe SBST can consider to start investing in Hispano for the first time and SMRT can continue doing what it did in the TIBS days. Instead of some cheap Gemilang bodywork that have the potential to be hard to mantain after years. Also, may I know if ELBO bodywork is a European brand?

In addition why not come up with an Investment Proposal, together with all the profitability and investment ratios so that we can help SBST determine whether its feasible to invest in Hispano, not taking into consideration the intangible assets/relations SBST has.

The jams come from Kallang itself. It stretch from Kallang until near PIE, which severely affected PIE. PIE jams started from Bukit Timah or Jurong already. Last friday i was on TIB786Z 985 at about 6pm and i was stuck inside the jam for 30mins.
