Lay-up and redeployment of SBST 0405's

SBS 0414R was refurbished by AM before heading for SL. Fresh coat of paint, new flooring and etc. On S52 today.
Likely extend lifespan. 0441L might follow suit.

Its LTA rules.once the bus lifespan expires,they must deregister it.but they wont deregister all the buses.some of them will get lifespan extension which is currently happening now.the rest are scrapped.if there is no such thing as lifespan extension.you wont even be able to see this buses at the end of next year i think.so because of lifespan extension,we will be able to see this buses until 2010.but LTA,SBST all dont care whether or not they are good buses.they just scrap them no matter how good or powerful they are.this is what is happening currently.they just pick and deregister them.this is very sad.but we cant do anything.this is their decision. -

Still got alot of full fleet merc services. I suppose KUBs will eventually take over them. Look at AMDEP. They have a few service with full fleet merc and they are "trading" their Merc away to SL. And since, many AM "used to be" full fleet merc services have their merc replaced by KUBs.

I dunno if it's true... But I realize that it's common seeing Volvo Marks replacing Merc O405; be it temporary or permanent, but I dun see the reverse that often. (Except svc 333 and 335 due to scrapping of Volvo Mark II).

What a good life for K230/other mercz replacement lovers. Not that I hate the K230's, but i'm just a neutral :) It's like everywhere you go, you see only O405's around only.
