Anyone else notice that when you have a $0.00 (free) trip as part of the farecap, the EZLink card records the boarding time of the trip instead of the alighting time?
Maybe that is why my fare cap claims (for valid trip transfers not part of the automatic $1.90 cap) always get rejected.
the EZ Link cards records the boarding time and alighting time.
u mean the 0.00 trip, card just records the boarding time and neglects the alighting time?
if so no "time stamp" to prove legit trasnfers sattisfy trasnfers time frame so claim fail =(

I checked using the Add Value Machines. It shows the boarding time instead of alighting time.
Furthermore, instead of deducting $0.00, it adds $0.00 . I think an 'add' transaction records the start time while a 'deduct' transaction records the alighting time.
well for myself, i seldom hit the info button to see the rides and timings i took my trips.
nevetheless i understand that when you board a bus and tag in, 1.60 is deducted off your card. so baording is a minus transaction as i see it.
then we you tag out of the bus later, the RIGHt amount of fare is added by. so say your trip is suppsoed to be 65 cents. then some 95 cents are added back. A plus transaction when u alight. thats how i understand it
so its tag in -> Minus transaction = into bus time
tag out -> plus transaction = out of bus time
thats how i see it
certainly i might get this wrong.

Unfortunately, all my other fares are deductions like -$0.67 or -$1.58.
The only other additions are the +$10.00 top ups I carry out via CASH or NETS.
This +$0.00 trips are certainly quirky.
indeed an odd error
i would have thought when we tap in we get -.1.58 and when tap out +1.58 ----to form a 0..00 ride
for you, it just whacks a +0.00 transaction.
pls do feedback to relevant authorties.

Hmm, based on what sbst's website state it shldnt be that case... Have u tried claiming during the correct period, i.e between 11th to the end of the next mth?
Yes. It was claimed on 22nd January for my 31st December trip.
As long there is no $0.00 trip, I have successfully claimed the rebate. For example, a trip where I spent $1.29 + $0.51 + $1.58, I have obtained a rebate of $1.60 in cash.
However, a trip where I spent $1.09 + $0.81 + $0.00 + $1.58 + $0.32, I was not able to obtain a rebate and ended up paying $3.80 instead of the $1.90 I was meant to pay.

Just a quick update on this.
I sent SBS Transit an email about it, but have yet to receive a reply. Nonetheless, it seems like this +$0.00 fare has no effect on the rebate (or that SBS Transit has acted on my email but yet to reply).
Long story short, I paid $1.58 + $0.32 + $1.39 + $0.51 + $0.00 + $1.58 = $5.38 upfront and got back the expected $3.48 ($3.50 in cash) refund. $1.88 for a 7.5 hour bus ride around Singapore is indeed worth the money.
for me, as i use concession, taking buses are just free rides to me. so...
at AVM: it shows '+$0.00'
at GTM: it shows '$0.00'
for MRT, when it starts deducting money...
at both stops that i stop at, at the AVM and the GTM, the former shows wif a '-' sign and for the GTM, it jus shows the amt of money deducted.
