Replying to your questions regarding about S225 DDs,
SBS 9509S still driven by old BC (9355T perm BC), SBS 9811T driven by another BC, should be either standby or green plate BC.
SBS2695H:
Don't need to ask what time, just roughly estimate less than 20 - 30 minutes and the DD will come. For S225W, it usually comes after SBS 3688Y. For S225G, I think it should be after SBS 3701S.
Service 225 usually have mid - high demand throughout the day on a typical weekday, the peak being the late evening onwards (after around 1700 hrs).
service_238:
It's SBS 9401T on 225W, driven by old uncle. I had forgotten to take note of the date, but I remember that it occured last month.
No B9 cameo on 225 so far. But if there is, then ... ![]()

If 225 has a mid-high demand like 222, 225 can also get perm VSO.

Something basic for 225 should be okay. Just that the DDs need to do A/P shifts. Most of the commuters who take this service at night can't seem to withstand the sardines in the bus. Even I do feel it that way too.

But the commuters must be willing to move to the upper deck despite the short journey. For 222, the upper deck is half loaded or more most of the time so its ok for 222 to have DDs. Last time, 291 used to have DDs but it was removed because passengers on 291 refused to go up. I wonder if passengers on 225 are willing to move to the upper deck despite the short journey. For me, I will move up as long as there are no seats on the lower deck.

There's only a fraction of 225 passengers actually willing to go up onto the upper deck of the bus. Not the elderly though, there's actually more school children and the young on the upper deck of the bus. When SBS 9578S cameoed on 225G on Thursday and I took it at about 5+, there were higher ratios of people on the lower deck compared to the upper deck. It took me some time to squeeze in to get to the steps to the upper deck, also considering that I have to carry a heavy bag + three files, hand carried.
Whether the mindset of the people will change, it will have to depend. But even with such introduction of DDs on a feeder service and popularity of people going up to the upper deck is low, perhaps some day there may be a blessing in disguise - more people may be willing to move to the upper deck instead of crowding the lower deck in the future.
