SMRT Premium Sv 546

  Ok, this is not an April fool joke.

  Saw the poster at the bus stop along Geylang Bahru(Blk 73)<compete with Sv 107), the other one at Sims Ave(aft Lor 1 Geylang). It will head to Shenton Way. 

  I did not manage to catch a proper glimpse of the poster.

  Price:$3.00?

  There's a couple of crossover scanario here..

  1. Use buses from 961 985 or 980
  2. Crossover from 188E (963E buses do 530)

  2nd method waste more diesel.

  I wonder how much time savings they can have...maybe they use Republic Blvd...530 and this one seems like short distance ones...

  I think it's more of 2nd method? Lolx.. Saw & Co. loves to waste more fuel... 1st is Service 61 (WLDEP to Bt Batok Interchange, every single day), now is this Premiun 546?

  River Valley one also $3

  ppl short haul $2.70, SMRT comes w/ $3 for an even shorter distance. even at least follow $2.70 ppl at least see wun feel so weird

  Seriously what do you suggest if not $2?Maybe $2.50?One of the reason they wont lower the fare is that they dun want to kope 107 paxs in the morning peak.Maybe $2.50 are more reasonable.531 should $3.50 IMO otherwise its defeat the premium status..

  SBST applied for fare increases for Premium services to $3.60. It has been approved btw, just that SBST hasnt implemented it.

  perhaps if ComfortDelgro deploys its coaches for Premium svc, it may command even higher fares - maybe $4? in yesterday's ST article, Bus Hub director V. Anilan said he only got 12-14 pax in morning peak and hoped the load increases to about 25 before he's ready to introduce a return leg in the evenings. I guess the problem is no Bus Hub bus-stop plate is installed along the bus-stops. btw, is this svc published in MM guide?
