I agree, but then definitely there is a reason or two? And the word "hate" is too serious in the bus community. It's just like saying you hate people of a different race.

It doesn't take much to strongly dislike some buses like the MK3s after a while, especially when for a time most of the services out of Tp Int utilised the MK3s(not all, just generalising). The MK3s seem poorly maintained, compared to the striders and rest, even the AC Scanias of the '93/94.
Ok, I shall exercise some restraint too. And I didn't know that in SG forums "Hate" was a taboo... zZZzz
I may not understand why many people like the MK3. Their engine just does not give the kick(that is MY opinion) and the interior is not good(the seats) and leg room is limited compared to the rest of SBST buses. I know you may like the MK3s, but please, if you see them everyday, won't you get tired of them?

Yeah it would be great if 'hate' and strong words like those not be used in forums. Its a tradition I guess, and a strong form of generalisation.
Overall the Mark 3 might feel no acceleration, but then good points may be at maintaining its speed and relatively stable ride (comfort in suspension). Taking the Malaysian roads for these buses are still alright, some with strong air conditioning as well...

Maybe u should try them on service 160 and 170. you will have nothing to say. I have been growing up with these powerful work horses for 16 years. -

like me. initially i didn't like them too. until i frequently take MKIIIs from 170 and other services as well, feel that the overall peroformance is quite good, except for some of them...an example is SBS645R.
