hi all!! i've been into buses since i started talking... haha... in fact, im into anything that has an engine n wheels... fave bus models include Volvo B57, MB O305, Leyland Olympian (NAC ones), Scania K230UB, Scania N113CRB, Dennis Trident, Volvo B9TL and VSO... surprisingly all SBST models... haha....
and as all can tell frm my nick, R34 Nissan Skyline GTR is my all time fave car!! but nw more into Hondas... esp. the K20As.... lolx

denis trident. cummins engine are hard to maintain

The tridents are in a terrible state, a few years ago when I took 89 everyday, which meant trident rides, besides a non-existent aircon, blown tail-lights, it was pretty alright.
Fast forward a few years, practically all the tridents have this grinding axle sound, the extreme ones wobbling and vibrating as the speed increases. In addition to the rather "soft" suspension, the trident easily tops my list of one of the worst buses to take on an afternoon.

*steps pedal, bus revs but deosent move. driver lets go. steps hard. bus jumps*

That's quite common across the different makes.Really reminds me of this incident when I took a Lance 245 on 854 years ago. Going up the slope near Kembangan, the bus was revving up to transit from 2nd to 3rd gear, but instead of the usual cat-yowl, the bus suddenly failed to engage any gear and since the BC was really stepping hard on the pedal, the rpm shot up and everyone, particularly the BC had a heart-attack.
Fortunately the BC let go of the pedal and the bus re-engaged 2nd and no more problems occured after that.

ive ever seen 9399 do that. lol. that was after it got refurbished and its gearbox got tuned to the LO3 gearbox timingsthe BC want to switch from 1st to 2nd then dunno wad happen the bus suddenly roar so loud and shoot forward. lol.
