Volvo B10TL's on feeder services

  Today, I took SBS9820S on service 222. Its a Volvo B10TL and I'm quite surprised that SBS Transit used such a new bus on a short haul service. I have seen Volvo B10TL serving service 222 for quite a few times already. I have a photo but I will upload when I have time.

  Yes, it is called a cameo.

  It is not that rare, but still unusual, nonetheless.

  SBS9813M, SBS9820S and SBS9823J are perm.

  BNDEP pushed for all VSOs to be perm on a service, bringing out more VO3x as SPs. 69 and 222 benefited from it... while Service 9...

  If u are to go down to Toa Payoh/AMK new towns one day, you will be even more surprised to see SBST using the brand new Scania K230UB buses on feeder/intra-town routes.

  The brand new Scania K230UB buses could be used on services like 2, 24, 31 and 35. These buses could also be used on 222 as the VSOs seem quite empty on off peak hours. VSOs on 222 should only be used during peak hours.

  Last time someone told me that a VSO cameo on 291 bef and it is rare! Also, a VSo (SBS9828X was one of them) also cameo on 410W, I think someone got a pic of it!

  Plus 232/238 using new Scanias too.

  Volvo MK4 on feeders/short haul routes is very common nowdays.

  B10TL should be placed on short haul routes. save fuel. like i said remove from 12, 14, 30, 65 and dump on 19 and 81. i dunwan 225 to get B10TL. it would be utterly ridiculous.

  what BNDEP doing is a good decision. but i like BRBP 143 B10TLs. haha.

  10 liter engine, den put it on long routes always has to go refill at midday.. and its FC is quite high. so put it on short trips, less distance traveled, less fuel used, so no need to go back and refill so many time

  Feeder using nice nice volgren n habit bendies, whereas long svcs like 178 use old nissan buses..

  After all 178 doesn't pass by any city areas, and it looks quite suitable to be UD-lised.

  aniway now ppl aren't complaining about 852 due to frequent, or shud i say every day, Strider cameo. there is 671X today
