hispano habits still can but volgren bendies. is ermmm...
around 75% of them are perm woodlands feeder. and close to none come anywhere near the city. and we have DAFs going to Shenton Way via 75
.
till now we have 3 full day NAC Scanias on 32 which is a 20% chance of boarding one during peak hours and 23% after peak hours. ive seen so many tourists boarding it and their feedback. lets jus say it isnt positive. going thru North Bridge and Funan area and river valley. areas where quite a number of prestigious hotels are sited and in the heart of town too.
Lolx... They want to show the tourists that old buses still exist without having to go all the way to heartland towns... ![]()

This is Singapore man.... First, there are a wide varieties of different types of people with difference races, religion and culture. Now, even the bus models in Singapore, there are also a wide varieties, ranging from Non Air-Con ones to Air-Con ones, from the oldest Scania N113CRB Non Air-Con, to Scania K230UB Air-Con ones, at least in the city areas... ![]()

Just a guess, but anyway I'm glad the Volgren bendies are usually perm on feeders or short haul services due to tighter leg room compared to Habits.

Coz AMDEP no box bendy, no volgren bendy. Only got Hispano bendies.
Also YSRG feeders/intratowns are very packed...
Which makes me wonder why they love to give rigids to a service like 804.
Pictures of Bukit Batok Feeders using bendy:

Still recalled that time in 1998 when service 138 was also downgraded from FAC to PAC, though it was a tourist based route from AMK MRT to Singapore Zoo (but became FAC again in 2000). Remembered seeing some "ang mor" tourists on board the NAC Merc 0405 buses.
Anyway now still got chance for tourists to enjoy NAC bus journeys to Bird Park, take 251 from Boon Lay MRT ![]()
It also seems like service 32 is one of the few bus services left to have NAC buses that goes to CBD areas (other than 125 and 186).

The brand new Scania K230UB buses could be used on services like 2, 24, 31 and 35. These buses could also be used on 222 as the VSOs seem quite empty on off peak hours. VSOs on 222 should only be used during peak hours.
cannot for 35
i think:
low front overhand will scrape curb when turning at tanah merry ter. furthermore the road humps there r madnessly sharp. plus vehicles there seems to be crazy madness and parking n bus captains have toughest times of the day turning the tight conrers there.
uhh the rear will also crape curb.

However, I feel that service 35 should still have AC buses on weekdays. Volvo MKIV DM3500 and used on service 35 on weekends. I think Volvo MKIV DM3500 should be on 35 on weekdays too. Since service 24 cannot have double-decks due to height limitations at Changi Airport, the K230UB seems to be a good idea for service 24.

Don't worry... Service 35 will have high chance to become FAC fleet once again when SBST starts to deregister all the Scania N113 CRBs, hopefully by end of this year (SBS3638S lifespan expiry is on 08 Dec 2008).
35. will definitely be FAC once the NAC N113s are gone.

As well as for services 6, 19, 32, 37, 38, 403 plus all feeders/Townlinks from Tampines/Pasir Ris/Bedok. Unless SLDEP transfers some VO2x back to BNDEP.
Maybe Scania K230UBs should go to services 32, 33 and 39 once the Scania N113 CRBs are gone. ![]()

If the VO2x are transfered from SLDEP to BNDEP, I do not want them to be on 222! They can be on 35. The K230UBs can also go to 31.

VO2X were on sv 35 many years ago before the demise of LO2X.
VSOs on service 222 are understandable.
1. High loads on 222
2. No K230s and B9TLs available in BNDEP - VSOs are the next low floor buses to cater to the elderly and needy.

all this is not gonna happen jus yet. although there are 2 K230UBs seen inside BNDEP, they would not deploy on a service like 31 as there are too few singledecker blocks. I also dun wan the K230UBs to be on this service. i rather 32 and 33 get to replace their dilapidated fleet. if you compare BN 32 with AR 32's fleet, you will get what I mean.
the remaining AR/BB VO2x will have to go to SLBP in time to come. SLBP is in need of VO2x. and putting them in SLBP is an ideal solution as they can put NAC buses far away from town. BNDEP would rather take the SP DM3500s from SLBP than the VO2x. BNDEP has too many NAC buses. you want Bedok, Tampines and Pasir Ris to be infested with NACs?
if thats so. send the BNDEP B9TL over to Soon Lee to put on JIS instead as an exchange ![]()

I hope AR/BB can exchange their VO2x to SLBP for the remaining VO3x there...

i think it would most likely be the DM3500s. ![]()
but anything is possible
CRBs are going to go liao
As for VO2x, I believe BNDEP/ AMDEP can take it as well for long haul svs as like how 74, 93 & 154 uses it ![]()
