Buses indeed run without petrol. They use diesel. So going by your statement SMRT deserves the best service award I guess?
That aside, how SMRT manages to win awards for "Best Passenger Experience" when it has buses running at crazy frequencies and filled to the doors with passengers leaning against the front windscreen, and train operations that have frequencies double that of the past (9-11 mins off peak compared to 5-7 in the past) with passengers again filled to the brim, simply beats me. Does anyone on the panel of judges happen to have links to SMRT I wonder.

I clicked the "contact us" on the website and it cannot find the page! Maybe they already guess they will be flamed for even giving SMRT an award so they run away quick!
IMHO, SMRT should not even be on the awards page at all. At least SBST NEL is not as full as SMRT trains...
