I did that in San Francisco... Free ride! Bus drivers there are so nice...
But anyway, I just saw a guy do that yesterday... I don't think he tapped his ezlink... Bus driver didn't say anything also...
Exit from back door -.-
I try before !
When u scan ur card , will have error ....
Saw it once... bus 25 or 74, can't recall. The BC screamed at that person. LOL
Caused a commotion. Everybody at the bus stop turned and looked at the BC and person. The person aruged that he will pay, no need scream at him. But the BC bo chup, say cannot means cannot.
The rest of the passengers not happy that the BC is arguing with the person just because he enter fom the exit door. Asked him to continue his work, again, bo chup. A few went off the bus, followed by the rest. Then the BC face from angry becomes shocked.
Originally posted by XiaoTaro:Just to add on, an interesting fact about Beijing buses is that for most of the bendy/artic buses, u have to board from the middle door and the conductors are there to collect the fare. The front exit is only for alighting. For rigids, its just like sg, mostly no conductor and the driver is there to collect the fare.
Its all bendy buses that you have to board from the middle door.
For rigids, all will have 1 conductor on board for the buses that have different fare stages (Mainly for 八方达客分公) and no conductor for single fare buses (There are much more different fare stage buses as compared to single fare rigid buses).

In Switzerland, most commuters carry a bus pass and they would board the bus through any doors. You don't even have to show your pass to the driver. But if you think you can enjoy free rides, then you're doing it at your own risk. Uniformed and plainclothes inspectors check the buses regularly and you will have to show your pass/ticket without demand. If you don't have one, you will be fined. There's no escape because up to 3 inspectors will board the bus at once.
Done that before when I was a below 16... still on bus card with concession stamp... so would board the bus from the back if no one notice... ![]()

Once I was at the Central Bus Station "touring" inside a Citaro G after getting permission from the driver. I wonder if he's getting heat stroke from the summer heat or what. When it's time for him to leave, he just closed to door and prepare to go off. I'm still halfway in and ran forward to tell him I need to get off. If I was on backpack travelling, maybe I could get a free ride inside Lucerne. ![]()
