They could try using blinds. Another method is to use what HK uses. Many of the older HK buses have a mechanism which can switch between 2 plastic destos (one for each direction of the route), so the driver just needs to flip the lever and the desto changes.

1246J (WLDEP 856) may have it's EDS changed sometime soon. It's EDS is completely ruined, with half of the whole EDS gone.

you mean like our scrapped 'TIBS' nissan and hino??
as in red cloth desto which has a lever above the windscreen that the drivers must wind to the number that they want??

Yes. And frequently the desto is upside down too. Its ok for most services but I once saw a 996 (back desto) in bpj before. =D
This morning I saw a K230 on service 238 that says "Happy Lunar New Year". Lol...
