To add on , maybe broadcast soccer or EPL ![]()
Even though i dont really have an issue with the noise from TVM in Sv. 74,i did enjoy some peace when today's particular Sv. 74 had their TVM set off![]()
They should play in bus videos instead... lousy signals...
TVM is bullshit in my opinion.I rather have at least BBC or CNN(via Starhub Cable Vision) on for the latest news![]()
i remember SBS212G had an annoyingly loud tvm.. wonder if thats fixed by now.

pl support petition against tv mobile http://www.petitiononline.com/tvmobile/petition.html
I feel sad whenever I see complaints regarding TV Mobile being targeted at SBS Transit. Can't these people understand that MediaCorp TV is behind the whole blardy project (including the supply and installation, maintenance and volume control), and SBST merely consented to having the space on board "rented" to them.
MediaCorp is the blardy guy who's collecting all these advertising revenue at the price of our precious sleep!
The point is not to have TV mobile on buses - it's a nuisance.
and SBS does pocket $$ from TV mobile.Has the money been used to keep fares low, or make pockets richer? no idea.

Farney....why would SBST need to use the revenue to keep fare low??? If there is a need to do that, then it shouldn't be incorporated in the first place.
In the real world, competition do not always result in lowest prices...it's naive to think that. When things are already at cost, it's what value[s] that is added to the basic.
It's the gahmen that's the problem. It's a fact that gahmen CANNOT offer competitive inputs without resorting to privatising public services. It's the gahmen that see subsidies as a 'bad word'.
Just take TVM as TVM, do you like it or not..doesn't matter if that affect the fare.

I agree with sv....
it's the same with Ride & Redeem campaign....all the d*cks heads started complaining that they 'own' the points and complaint why they do not have enough items to be given away...
Sure...sooner or later, there will not be any freebies....everyone can return to boring public transport with no freebies, no TVM...just humans squeezing humans to the tempo of engine noise!
Nehpyh: As clarified by SBS (on their website and media repliies): "[TV Mobile] is also a source of revenue for us to defray costs."
The point remains - has that revenue been used to defray costs (for commuters), or to increase profits (for owners+shareholders).
