she seem to be proud of her trains.
true they won an award recently but how they manged that, i dunno
maybe the jjudges were impressed with the station n seamless travel concept we have? the ticketing macine was impressive? smartcard leh... cool to them? the sation layout is small n compact i must say, easy to wallk to train for some stations. that shd have impressed the judges.
train driver also quite zai ones. they dun ebrake like in other countries.ZYX

It is disheartening to see a CEO of a multimodal public transport company resisting to take public transport to work. So contrasting to an interview of hers years ago. Perhaps she knew how screwed up her trains and buses are. Her ultimate goal is to work her @$$ off for her Mercedes 500, sadly not Mercedes O500LE.
This interview is a great justification of the current state of mess in the service from SMRT. Maybe the relevant authories should take note of it and do something about it.

The whole concept of moving advertisement was started by MTR years back. Concept is about the same. Just that instead of TV, they are actually using normal advertisement boards.But it was SBST or rather MooveMedia Started their MooveTV last year. Whereby different advertisements are being played on the screens each time the train passes by.
SMRT only started THIS YEAR.

i wish the hey days of TIBS were back. when the CEO was innovative enough to bring in buses from european countrys. wished SPH had gone Italyish in 2003..if she had dare to do that we would have Renualt Agoras and irisbus CNG WAB bendy buses on this island already..
kudos to TIBS for dare to try Spanish Mercs, British config-ed Scanias l113CRLs and Scottish DAFs. they were the most innovative n new look when in 1995-6
from the TIBS annual reports in mid eitghties u wd have noticed CEO had ordered TIB folks to go germany to learn merc, 8 years before he brought in the first O405. Mr CEo then had planned ahead for a European revoltuion. =) instead of relying on the hino n nissans whcih were by standards, top notch then.
