SMB1H only one thing not gd. side and rear EDS too small. even smaller than those from 484, 595, 565. 666 dunnid to say much. it has the same EDS as the newer batch of OC500LEs.
The demo was from a few years back, CNG OC500LE i believe from Australia's Transperth.
SMB1H was deployed early for feedback. Probably one of the complaints was the tiny EDS at the side and rear.
side question about our OC500LEs. wad rims do they have? is it the ALCOA aluminium rims?

Yeah it was. I was on 4A as well when you came up. =)
A difference between SMB1H and Production OC500LEs
1. Different Step Design:
SMB1H's step design is straight and curvy but the production OC500LEs have the steps being so squarish, not curvy
2. Different EDS:
SMB1H EDS side and rear EDS is small, whereas the production OCs have bigger EDS.
3. Different Interior Wheel Hub Design.
SMB1H's wheel hub design is curvy but the production OC500LEs have a squarish thing covering the wheel hub. The first 2 front seats are more crammed than SMB1H.
4. Announcment system
It seems SMRT loves to be first. And so it did with the first, proper bus announcement system on the production OC500LEs. SMB1H was just a prototype as many may say and it's announcement system looks computerized but for the production models, they seem to have been recorded properly.
5. Difference in grab pole design
Can't say much about it.

The side LED display is still nowhere as big as SBS Transit's ones.

More importantly SBS Transit's side EDS display the route information.
Kudos for SMRT for mistake correction...EDS wise

The Transperth bus was here to promote CNG bus to Singapore Bus Operators.

You, as a good friend of his, tell him to quit peeking timesheets. Want to see, just ask from the BC politely. You can ask him how he see the timings for ytd's SMB4A on 851.
Someone spotted SMB 7S heading towards Yishun @ Lentor Ave @ 2pm++.
SMB 1H on Sv970. Seen at Sixth Ave towards Bukit Panjang at approximately 5.50pm. Another unidentified OC500LE seen on Sv106 towards Bukit Batok at approximately 6.30pm at Clementi.

Redeployed to Service 970? If so, great thanks to KJDEP for doing so, as 970 is still a Chinatown Service, which make it possible for me to get a shot of it this coming Sunday while getting shots of F1 diverted Services (eg. 10) to Eu Tong Sen St. Not forgetting SMB 0004 A on Service 851.

It was not redeployed.
The correct term is "cameo".
