Ride is smooth and comfortable..

But afterall I think SBST will never buy any China made buses.

never is a strong word to use.
if in the near future inflation really does blow up, then buying EU buses would not be a feasible idea and we might have to turn to china made buses or asian ones for that matter.

Be surprised. The KUB engine is made in china liaoz, maybe next time the whole bus is china one.

Bro..
U still living in the 80s ??
Theres actually alot of things out there which are produce in China and you are using it. Just because is from china and you have the mindset that its a inferior good ? Then i must you are wrong. Take a ride on a few of them and i can tell u that things have changed. They are not like what u think..
At least, i can say that my experience with a King Long had left me a much better experience with compared to the KUBs.
the yutong buses seem to have very loud radiators.. with the same tone as the VO3X's
talking about china buses, dont go far far lah. jus go to KL and ride rapidkl or if you prefer PG, ride rapid penang. you will get de feel.

oh same heart, diff body, diff face :)
i believe either SBS or SMRT will buy 1 such bus for demo, as long as its WAB
For you info, China buses basically have a continental chassis components like ZF, Wabco, Knorr Bremse while the cabin is China made and branded with a Chinese brand. And they are getting extremely popular in South East Asia.

I saw a few King Long buses around esplanade in march. IMO, i think that the interior looks nice, with light brown seats ![]()
Only downside is that i find the engine roars too loud =P

It has EDS, but doesn't work now, think not programmed yet. Like the PA B7Rs/B7RLEs, it is still quite hard to get this bus at Harbourfront.
Ofiicially 8031 is a King Long Higer 6.7L AT ABS. Although the proper designation by King Long UAI (Suzhou) is KLQ6121GQ. This bus has a Cummins ISBE engine with a ZF 6 speed automatic transmission.

Which unfortunately does not, it still sound Chinese (those who have been to chinese cities would know). Some say it sound like a Bangkok Golden Dragon CNG (which I think uses Cummins also).
