Interior of 8031M is nice, the seats are a bit like our Elbos, and are very comfortable as compared to the Vogelsitze our 2 public transport operators uses.
But then again, it is loud, as compared to our quiet 8031J. steps to the rear is a bit too high, otherwise, it is a pleasant bus. Suspension is better than a K230UB and comparable to the B7RLEs which goes through the same route.

The number is way bigger than that.
If you have followed the news, you would have notice that China has actually ordered up to 4000+ buses for this event.
sbst beat that
The great thing about Chinese-made buses is this: you get MORE than what you pay for. Picture this: On the Australian market, Chinese buses are available that cost half of what an equivalent Australian-built bus would cost. The running gear (engines, transmissions, axles, etc.) are not Chinese-made and would be the same as what you could find in locally built buses (e.g. Cummins, ZF, etc.). The only thing that lets the Chinese buses down is interior design and fit-out quality, but then again some of the local bodybuilders are just as guilty of producing rubbish interiors!!

Dave

I dont really think so. Beijing replaced almost their entire fleet of buses within 2 years just for the olympics.
I Don't think the buses made in China is as good as those made in Europe. The below is some video on China Bus
