i suspect this bus is one of the former SBS mini MB buses. I saw a few of similar ones as private buses and are still existent in sg roads.
Its Mercedes Benz 811D , SBS8004M to SBS8008C , used to serve M1 , M2 , Svc 20 , introduce in 1992 but last seen in like 2001 or 2 , among the rest , only 1 was repainted to SBST livery..

But the SBST MB minibuses were 2 door, right? I thought they were scrapped? Or were they just sold off?

Hmm , I think 182 uses the SBS livery version , i remember SBS8005 (is it?) the only MB 811D to have SBST colours , not sure if it does on service , remember seeing the photo of it somewhere ....

wow...this seems pretty ancient to me already...though i spotted it a few times when i was young...i was thinking if the repainted one looks like svc 825/SMRT shuttle service?

Its not uncommon to see buses being modified when re-sold. For instance, the former SBS Leyland double-decker buses sold to HK had their front windscreen replaced with new ones and others with exit doors sealed up and replaced with new windows and seats. Its possible the new private bus owners may have bought these minibuses from SBS and had the exit door removed.
