Relocation of Geylang Lor 1 ter

  Read the intention as per topic in old posts from this forum. Is it true? Is the Kallang Park Terminal next to the neew Kallang Lesure Park, take 16 on tues and saw a building with queuing berth there, 4 in total, no office spotted, just nice for smrt services to terminate with 11 withdrawn and 175 rerouted, seems small and no edvident parking space.

  Any comments ???

  That "shelter", with a roof like that of Jurong East MRT Station, has been there for the longest time......

  I believe that ''terminal'' use to house those old special service like NS1 (Woodlands/Yishun to National Stadium) , Service A , B , C and only operate when there's major event at the National Stadium....somehow like the today's SBST Stadium Direct.... correct me if im wrong ...

  Hopefully 175 extend to Bedok. Then FOUR Clementi - Bedok services!

  Whatever for? From that area already got 14, 16 & 196 to Bedok.

  Its not only the whole route that counts. Its the individual sections

  The extention means that Upp Boon Keng Rd and Lavender St can have buses heading to bedok, etc.

  There is already 26 from Upp Boon Keng to bedok. With so many service from Kallang to Bedok, there will be too much route duplication. The extension to National Stadium would make at around 30 stages(?), so it is quite an ideal length.

  I would like to share my views

  Kallang Park Interchange

  11: Kallang to Stadium Loop (Feeder)

  Reasons: To bring people from other parts of the stadium area for transfer

  64: Kallang to Queensway/Mei Ling Street (Loop)

  175: Kallang to Clementi

  Reasons: Not needed to extend to overcrowded Bedok, although I live in bedok and like more service in bedok, i want some other places not clementi. 3 services already.

  860: Kallang to sims place (Feeder)

  Reasons: To replace lost link for sims place bus takers.

  853: Weekday and Saturday: Kallang to Yishun

  961: Kallang to Woodlands

  980: Kallang to Sembawang

  985: Kallang to CCK

  Change the structure to be a bigger one and make it a substantial interchange.

  Operator: SMRT

  Depot: SBS: Brbp or Bndep

  SMRT: AMDEP

  The relocation will affect SMRT Taxis as that is their only 24 hours diesel kiosk for their taxis.
