because singapore is too small, and so does its population...for now that is.
Though i would very much like a train system that's like Marina Bay - Orchard - express to Khatib - Woodlands, or Boon Lay - Clementi - express to Outram Park - Bugis - express to Bedok - Pasir Ris, our infrastructure does not exactly allow it to be feasible.

I am also very lucky. My bus stop has 2 buses into Bedok INT, and many buses to go to Bedok MRT bus stop -
Haha... speaking of Bukit Panjang.... By LRT / MRT 20 mins walk to the nearest LRT station. 15 mins ride to Choa Chu Kang MRT station. 50 mins ride to Orchard MRT station. Total Time: 85 mins By Bus 190 - 40 mins 700 - 40 mins Total Time: 40 mins By Bus: Save 45 mins! For me, its lucky i live along Petir Road. For the rest living along Segar Road and inner part of Bukit Panjang, walking to the nearest bus stop takes you 20 mins. To leave Bukit Panjang, you need about 30 mins.

You can't compare HK and SG buses, they are of different kind of world and service standard and requriments.
It is like comparing apples to oranges and SG buses is good now...do not change anything except of better linkages to bus stiop and interchanges...not anything that the review in transport(except displacement fares and bus lanes) suggested
But what can I say that SMRT ruined the fine TIBS reputation...only one thing is not so good as TIBS is that they say that Dennis Lances are superbly comfortable and good in their magazines

passing on service add to CCK, Airport, and etc
Actually wanna go any int/ter in singapore from bedok, at most 1 transfer can liao...

House area got 1 chinatown direct, 1 premium, 1 niteowl, 1 nightrider, 1 express, 1 stadium direct

1 bus to mrt station in my town
minimum 15 minutes to mrt station/int. maximum 40 minutes.
no nightriders, no premiums (one smrt one coming soon...), no chinatown direct, no cityshopper, no bus svcs after midnight (last bus from the nearest int ends at 11.30pm). nearest NR is 2.4km away.
dun think anyone can get better :D.

think must include our valuation of our house too. certainly, accessibility plays a part in cost of housing.
