Bus Driver drive wrong way

The previous thread expired already... so, i decided to post here.
Just now, 2.15pm, SBS8441J [SL 185] drive wrong route to Soon Lee. I was on this bus. Suppose to exit at jrg town hall from PIE but it didnt. The driver just go straight. I was like huh ? so, i rush down to the driver and told him abt it. He say "sorry sorry, silap lor (mistake in malay)". the BC told me that he will continue the route as usual, So, the bus exit at jrg east/west ave 1 and then turn right to continue the journey
what a experience for me... =)

if anything happen. hes in deep trouble. esp at Jurong Canal Dr, with buses that usually do not frequent that road.

Lucky for BC he can still exit somewhere else.Many years ago, I was taking this 851 home (TIB 0800R - then AMDEP bus). It was at night so rather dark, and plus the Indian BC was talking to his Indian friend that was sitting behind the driver seat. They talked so enthusiastically, the BC forgot to make a right turn. End up the bus went into somewhere near Harbourfront. Luckily someone guided the BC back onto route and by the time we reached Yishun, he was nearly... 1 hour late? Plus with all the jams along the way.
Sad story for the BC... but who ask him talk so much? =.="

for me, actually it's my sister and my father's experience when i was still young. one 858 BC turned left at WDL Ave 6 instead of Ave 4 when returning to WDL. luckily, my sister's sch was one stop after the right turn after turning into Ave 7.

Think i've posted this before ... but i will share here again =)
I remember onboard TIB548U on Service 188 last year June when the BC forgot to turn right to Pasir Panjang Rd (the South Bouna Vista that side) due to fast speed and can't go the right lane , instead he continue and follow 176 route , and try to U-Turn somewhere near Haw Par Villa ... I wonder how if its bendy

i once took a svc66 and ended up in a HDB carpark at bukit batok east.... LOL

Also posted before but years ago, one 913 bendy exited Woodlands Int and instead of going straight, turned left into the street 911 turns into.
That was when I caught sight of the bendy entering rear first into a car-park to try to make a U-turn at the street and the process took about 5 minutes.

Btw, everyone at the 1st bus-stop at JW ave 1 looks puzzled as well as the motorists waiting at the junction as the bus turns right from Jurong Canal Dr... lol
Pity those who waited at the 4 bus-stops missed by 8441J. Kinda shocked when BC didnt turn left.The best part is only 1 passenger is affected coz he suppose to alight at jrg town hall Rd. My journey cut down by 5 mins !!! and I think I didnt met the BC before...

Afternoon shift BC? Cos the morning trip I took got no problem. -
For me from what I saw:
1. Last year, got one Mark III on 293 supposed to be going to Tampines St 45 (that time I was on 23 when I saw that) but instead the driver almost go to the st 71 part but the driver reversed at Ctrl 1 and that time luckily no cars at that time lol.
2. The other one is this year (forgot which month but I think March), I was on my way home from school when I saw SBS726R on Townlink 293 along Tampines Ave 9 lol and it turned into St 72. that means it missed one bus-stop and that is my former pri school bus-stop.

At first i thot the BC of SBS2607M went into a wrong direction, while doing 3N, cause instead of exiting via Whitley road, he went straight on via the overhead bridge and onto bukit timah road, before turning right at Lornie road and exiting via lornie road into PIE.

This happened very long ago
A sl was going into a wrong way and went on and on for 20 mins b4 another sl tell him that he had never seen the number on the road b and the sl panic and go a big panic round b4 back to tack...too bad...that time i not bus fan, unable to help sl

my friend just share with me her experience...
there was once she board svc 335.... suppose to turn right to sci ctr but instead turn left to jrg reg lib (follow 333 route) !!! She told me that the BC somehow u-turn at the junction of former JTC there & continue the journey. she even told me that there's one auntie she take note of the rego plate & go complain...
ppl in the bus were unhappy

i was in that trip also...
upon seeing the BC overshoot jurong town hall road exit, i jitao rushed to the front [azhar also i think?] and the uncle actually say [in mandrain], he long time never drive 185 le... he is usually based on boon lay routes. and that today he is on 185 as a replacement for another BC. more lmao is, that trip is his last for his AM shift after around 2.5 or 3 rounds with the current being his last before he knocks off i believe.
as a regular, somehow i think this is really rare.
heng my house there is 1 bus stop before the JW ave 1 there, so not affected too much.
side note: that scania seems to be slower than the usual mercedes weeks back =.=

not consider as drive wrong route, but nowadays, can see 903/911/912/913 all over in Marsiling/Woodlands areas, when there is jam at woodland check points. SL seem to be turning anywhere just to get back to WDL interchange. Usually, 911/912/913 buses will just use admiralty road/marsiling rise/road and then get back to original routes, skipping the part near woodland checkpoint.
But nowadays, i see Sv 912/913 bus with full EDS at woodland St 13 toward WDL. Sv 912 bus turning right from Woodland Ave 1 to Ave 3 and back to WDL. Sv 911 turning left from St 13 to woodland centre road and then go to Ave 1/Ave 3 and back to WDL.

Heard from n4l, a service 410 bus turned into Marymount Road from Bishan St 21. His only option will be to use Shunfu and Sin Ming Road, and skip Lakeview bus stop.

922 first operating trip the driver not very familiar with the route and you know the bus fans onboard keep giving him wrong information on the route. Poor thing the bus in the end in the middle of the cross junction and kanna horned by other motorists. Sorry ah abit off topic.

NDP diversion at Suntec area years ago, the service 162# I was on made the wrong turn and ended up at Marina South. BC of a service 400 bus was stunned to see his colleague there apparently, had a good laugh and guided him back to the correct exit back to ECP. I'm pretty sure the bus was very late when it went back on the correct route.

Diversions are made automatically whenever there's traffic jam at Woodlands Checkpoint. OT abit.. even with all these diversions the frequencies of some feeders like 912 are still very bad.

To think back... I was wondering whether you are refering to me, because I am the one who gave the SL (whom I know of) the erong direction at the junction between BPJ Ring Rd and Jelapang Rd/Senja Link in the direction towards BPJ Int (because I have confused it with Service 920), and hence creating a hoo-hah among the commuters and caused them to talk back at me and shouted "oi!"... Indeed it is a memorable encounter although I know this is bad... Lolx.. -
