Perhaps they should follow the Sydney buses style. When there's no PIW, the tip-up seat or watever they call that can be lowered and used by normal pax. That would add at least 3 seats. Maybe up to 5 or 6.

BNDEP has been partially renovated to cater to the k230s. Especially the oil pump station which can easily see the new cemented flooring when you pass by BNDEP.
8181J returned back to amdep, on 24.
Recently the number of K230UBs seems like reduced on Service 100

Its a sign that deployment has stablised.

true. yesterday took 100 twice. twice got a MKIV Strider. MKIV Strider & DM came together. no scanias. previously, it was like almost certainly would board a Scania.

That was after service 27 starts getting Scania K230UB buses ![]()

Services 163 and 165 also...
But actually based of the sgwiki, it actually states that service 100 have at least 12 Volvo fleets. Those Volvos could be originally service 100's permers.
In fact most of the SP Scania K230UBs that used to mass cameo on these HGDEP services have been assigned to service 27 as perms.

yeah. every morning I take Svc 100 to work and normally SBS 8138K will be there. For the whole Week, I see SBS 927C there. Throughout the journey, I see many non K230UBs on the opposite side..

2 more "golden seats" on the left not be possible due to the axle and the position of the exit door, unless u wan the seat to be suitable only for an infant to seat. On the right behind the BC is a possible, considering the standing area will be reduced abit.

The "two spaces" you are referring to are the wheel axles. This design is prevalent for buses with zero step feature, like the Volvo SBS1688M and the B9TLs...even our SMRT new WAB buses too...the SMB1H
They take up space...I agree. But the design of the bus is as such...
Thanks

Another idea is to follow the seating arrangement as 8030L. Soon Chow put a seat before the left front axle, which is closer to the BC. But that still won't help. Another way is to put foldable 'theatre-style' seats at the standee area. Around 5 - 6 could be installed in a paralel position. Hence, the problem can be solved. I hope SBST and SMRT sees the demand from the public.
Another costly method is to buy new buses that uses 'wheelchair lifts' that brings people up and down the bus. These types of buses are seen in operation in the USA. This helps increase seating capacity abit but space for PIWs still has to be considered. Setback is maintainance and complicated way to operate.
