AMK and Toa Payoh Interchanges seems quite ok to me as the parking areas are still quite ok in terms of open air concept.In fact Sengkang Interchange layout is the worst...the whole parking area is not very well ventilated and is quite dark inside, and you can even feel the hot air when walking out towards the canteen. BCs gotta turn on the bus ceiling lights upon reaching the bus interchange.
Actually Bedok Interchange got the most number of bus services terminating there, that's why got different variants of bus models inside there. Maybe vivienlee is talking about those Bedok neighbourhood areas which have only 1 single feeder service.
