If only SBST order this kind of bus (volvo 7700 euro V) instead of another 400 KUB but then again...
Nice bus!
But what the heck to SBS Transit!! 900 buses from Scania! This is madness! Imagine seeing the same model on the road, service etc....

This bus is nice. If the same bodywork or similar concept of 3 doors is used, it will definitely encourage people to move to the rear

It's for cost reasons too. It's cheaper to maintain only one fleet of buses than several different fleets..

Don't fight again.
slbp has no history of maintaining voith mercz. So there's a lack in experience. So slbp rather sent off those Voith mercz than to leave it rot inside and people start complaining instead.

Not too sure. They sent back the DMs.
Don't make the issue so sensitive. Don't be the one who sparks off trouble. Not easy to clear the mess. ![]()

Have u got any idea how difficult it is to maintain a vertically-placed engine ?

I just found out Batch 3 KUBs are 40kg heavier than Batch 2 KUBs which in turn is 20kg heavier than Batch 1 KUBs.

really? what thing add the mass anyway to 60kg diff between batch 3 and batch 1?
i thought each batch/evolution of the buses will be slightly lighter due to removal of some uneeded parts or using lighter parts. Like the aircraft industries....
(All Unladen weight)
Batch 1 - 10980kg
Batch 2 - 11000kg
Batch 3 - 11040kg
8033D - 11160kg
Wow the demonstrator's heavier by more than 100kg.
Remember from batch 1 to 2, there was a granny seat. But from 2 to 3, I can't think of any, I'm only speculating it's the improvement of the brakes, or Gemilang using heavier materials.
i wonder KUBs de CCTV cameras gt how many in a maximum.. oni i noe there are 4 cameras can be found at front EDS below, near exit doors, 2 exterior cameras 1 on front right next to driver compartment and another at behind left next to 5 seats in 1 row.
Actually they still left 120 sets for the Euro 4 version?
Wonder if they can meet the deadline by end of Dec.

is there any date line given? i think can.. think most of the buses are ready, waiting for registration only... just like last year, they register almost 40 buses together?

8367R is on 55 today, no suffix error. It's correct, R.
Unfortunately, I got a bad shot of it.
I saw SBS8073M training at bedok res rd yesterday.a lady wearing casual attire was standing beside the driver cabin instructing the driver.then there was a seat installed beside the driver cabin like those perm Training buses.there was another driver seated on it.then i think the bus also had a extra left view mirror fitted below the original one like those perm Training buses.so is it perm Training now?

I would say SBST wont buy this type of buses.it will be very difficult to see this type of buses in singapore.

Actually SBST could buy 200 B7RLE and 200 MAN.i also agree it is crazy to buy 900 buses of the same type.i know it will be very boring.but we cant do anything about it.its SBST decision.so no choice.we have to bear with it.

Wa lau.. still talking abt it. Try to find gd points of K230UB.
At least later batches aren't so jerky anymore. Maybe we'd get modified bodyworkfor the other 400?
