think they now just registered the buses which are ready and then deployed immediately. instead of registering 10 buses in consecutive rego, then wait one or two weeks then slowly deployed them. waste the road tax paid..

I dont think its about the road tax being wasted. But rather, its about the problem of shortage of buses in the fleet.

Nice period of waiting time
there is a pattern.. when N113CRBs and MBs deregisters, new KUBs are brought in.
SBS8380B on service 86
Still left 91 out of 500 K230s to go...

SBS8888D was out with the batch that started revenue service on the first day. But there's no SBS8887G or SBS8889B.
SBS84XX, at the moment, refers to a series (SBS8433H to SBS8483M and SBS8485H to SBS8491P) reserved for buses assembled earlier by SC Auto (with same bodywork).

yar. 8888D is together with the very very 1st batch of the KUBs when they started out on 100 and 174. so is the current 83xx KUBs assembled by BA/HG?
i think that 8887G and 8889B will be part of the Euro 5 KUBs

They need to finish it before the end of the year. Heard that the list of services getting the next 400 sets is set.
Looks like SC Auto better complete their job, or else cant meet deadline.

SBS 8888D. Prosperity tradition and fa cai. That's why it's on the roads first.
Special buses from SBST usually have 8s de. SBS9889U, SBS9888Y, SBS1688K, SBS2888T (all demos), SBS1881T (retired...volvo B10M MkII with underfloor aircon.) etc.
Not sure about SBS8030L, 8031J, 8033D..maybe got 8 infront le.

Yea, not a demo or anything.

Just because that K230 happened to have a rego of 8888D and u say the bus is special ????

nvm. actually each of us have our own defintion of special. yep.
SBS8888D and SBS8138K in fact were registered on the same day (19 Oct 2007) together with the other 803x series.
I think SBST likes the number "8" and seems that some demonstrators were registered with lots of "8"s in them (eg. 1688, 2888, 2988, 9888, 9889 etc). And also when the new Scania K230UBs were brought into the roads, SBST would rather register 8138 and 8888 1st instead of in sequence.
