It's only a rego and SBST make so much out of it....
List of all the Scania K230UBs which are currently registered in Singapore, arranged according to VIN:

ps if i sound confusing lol.
agree. but they (LTA) just want to follow their stupid rules and guidelines. Til get more complains or the big big boss say so..then they might consider to make all bus stops WAB friendly status. maybe write to the transport minister loh.. Like mention before, there are confusion whether bus stops are WAB accessible, if you refer to the WAB section of SBST website... Certain bus stop are accessible to one service, but not another service on the same route?
also, understand that LTA is going to retrofit /rebuild all those bus stops which is not WAB accessible. By then, i think it might be 2015..

I seen one PIW on a Sv 36 KUB today at Changi Airport. Note that the bus does not have a WAB logo and Sv 36 is not a WAB service yet.

Nice list compiled.
What do the 'B' and 'D' as in 'B29D' stand for?

These are seating codes created by PSV Circle, a 65 year old bus enthusiast group in the UK focusing on mainly buses themselves and their chassis numbers (ie not the deployments), and these codes are recognized by bus fans worldwide.
B-Single Deck Bus, a bus with coach seats would be C instead of B
29-No. of Seats
D-Dual Door.
O-Permanent Open Top
For double deckers there is a / (slash) to represent the different seating capacity of upper and lower decks. ie, a SBST LO3x would be a H55/38D, where H represents a high bridge double decker, 55 represents the no. of seats on the upper deck and 38 represents the no. of seats on the lower deck.

Do u know that if the bus isn't WAB certified, the driver must call OCC on whether he can pick up the PIW on board his bus

no offence, but in the first place SBST shud jus order LF buses. currently looking, i feel there should be no hesitation on putting the WAB sign on KUBs, really. in this way, PIW can easily spot [of course there are alot 2dae]

Then we'll have more ERPs and extremely high road taxes, because LTA would need to revamp all our roads.

Superstitious then superstitous lor, I don't see anything wrong with it. You never know if the "other world" really exists and they're looking at you and "blessing" you.

Disclaimer first - Not stirring up anything with this post :)
Singapore is mostly Chinese populated, and the older Chinese population, such as aunties and uncles are supersitious types believing in lucks, charms and blessings. So prosperous and lucky sounding numbers are used in regos of vehicles.
I believe the news got report before about people bidding for lucky plates such as 888 for their rego. That's how when first batch of 80XX series came, SBS8888D is also registered even though the rego isn't part of any batches that exist (7th batch? lol). So, it's more of the beliefs and traditions that are influencing SBS Transit.
4 on the other hand isn't an auspicious number. And the rego that the bus that had an accident is 8074 (qu/qi si, lit "go die"). That's probably SBS started to avoid the 4 in their rego end.

I know...I'm saying it's all fine to be superstitous, especially since the management here would probably be made up of Chinese people whom, like you said, are high likely to have a believe in such/heard of such.
You never know if it pays to be superstitous...it doesn't hurt for them to skip the number 4. Not like as if they'll run out of numbers to register their buses, nor does it cost them extra money to skip 4 ;).

I believe it's because of the few incidents of PIW unable to go onboard WAB buses. Many people misunderstood that WAB buses means it's for the entire route. So as a preventive measure, they remove the WAB logo, mostly likely until the bus-stops of the entire route of that service has been approved by LTA before they place the logo
