To avoid the ERP gantries to cut and save costs? ![]()
Or enchance to ply those places that will be badly affected by the ERP for car users so that they can consider switching to public transport?

Since when Service 190 can cope with its load? Everytime I see Service 190 buses I will shake my head... Haiz...
that could be the reason why there are training buses seen along boon lay way / jurong west ...
I wont rule out 6 services to run parallel with NSL/EWL.. but they said service enhancements not introductions.. tricky here...

theres no service linking chinatown and harbourfront to UE square and robertson quay area. divert to Hill St side which has too many services already. if you leave 123 to link those places with orchard also quite jialat. also it is faster for 143 to use clemenceau. upp cross st there quite a large pull of passengers.
overall, imo, i feel it remains still better. give the load of passengers to 124. 143 serve its purpose at clemenceau and that 143 should not duplicate a big portion of 124.

does 143 serves SMU? does 124 serves HarbourFront?
Isn't e Tank Rd bus stop also near within UE Square? another thing, it's to cushion e ERP to seperate 'big CBD' and 'small CBD' into two... so you give ppl alternative to switch to public tpt

all answer to you: no
no to 143 switching, wastage of time and the Upp Cross St side has a lot of people walking from Chin Swee. that sector is where 143 chase for lost time. its the only service that uses upp cross st from eu tong sen and into clemenceau.
Have anybody ever wonder that there isnt a single bus connection connecting Chinatown with Suntec City ?? Since the past, people from Chinatown going to marina area must pay a premium for it. Be it the $1.50 CityDirect or the the CityBuzz which cost $1.

Citybuzz no people want to take, B10TL wated on service that at most have half-load at peak hr. in fact, Chinatown-suntec have way one, take anybus to Calton Hotel that area than transfer to 960 or other service can reach liao, the other reason might be chinatown are majority old pple and they would not want to go Suntect, perharps in SBS and SMRT perspective(not my anyway)

The demand would not be as good in the morning. U can see Express 502.

Actually I find that there's no need to have Premiums that charges above $3 to return to the heartlands. Since it is on off work timing, passengers might prefer taking the trains or other basic trunk service back home. They do not need to rush home anyway. And I think SMRT is too much to increase the fare for Premiums. Who would want to pay so much on a bus to return home?
Morning peak hours is defintely experiencing e highest capacity usage... Evening peak loading capacity it all depends on svs

Try charging a normal trunk fare for C2 and you will see an increase in loads between these 2 places.

i am suggesting what sBST might do to enhance the 8 services. I think SBST do know that the demand is lesser and that why until now, no evening premium services were introduced except for FFW.
As for SMRT wise, their reason given is higher fuel price. They are having good business on Sv 531 right? that why they dare to increase by $1.
i think most likely SBST will just add downroute. or maybe introduce back the CBD1 service?
Having to run a evening trip back to the heartlands might not be a very good idea. Everyone has about the same reporting time which is about 9 or 9.30. But for knocking off, its a tricky problem as we all know that it is common for people to work overtime thus the time for people to go home is different. So, its kinda hard to guage whether what kind of demand to expect for the evening trip back.
