also at tpy interchange, alot of buses left at around 4.35pm, by then there were alot of empty parking lots. so is there anything to do with the timetable or their bus timings?

the time from 3+ to 4+pm is the start of S shift and not long later is the start of peak hour so more buses will leave the interchange, at a faster frequency

lifelikedrama is correct. split shifts out in almost-full force plus mealbreaks for P shifts don't usually occur so early so everyone is out on the roads. -

then it's just coincidence -
even if i went there around 4.15pm to take bus, there are still alot of buses. but when i went there around 4.30-4.35pm , i also realise that most of them went off.
note:this is for saturday, i dunno if even all, even sv159 which i always take also same as sv 28,88 the same timetable.because frequenly, the depart together.

3 to 4pm the frequency suddenly very good and buses are often empty. aft 6pm to about 8pm it can become a whole different story partly due to mealbreaks. but notice frequency gets really bad from there and the loading terrible.

but the BC can go buy takeaways for dinner mah.. if they queue for buying food too long then they might as well drive off their bus for next trip. then after came back from that trip then find a place to eat dinner -

1. 26T start 0834hrs Bt Merah, end 1918hrs Bt Merah
2. 27T start 0911hrs Boon Lay, end 1850hrs Bt Merah. Notice previous arrival 0903hrs Boon Lay doesnt connect cos that shift is an E shift. Even its previous arrival 0854hrs is also an E shift.
3. 28T start 0925hrs Bt Merah (doesn't collect bus from depot), end 1903hrs Boon Lay. -

this E shift will usually finish trip at BNL at about 6.20pm then went to depot.(9024Z slot)

Looks like you need help
1144 Bt Merah ends at 1843 Hougang. Meal break at 1425 Bt Merah
1212 Bt Merah ends at 1912 Hougang. Meal break at 1452 Bt Merah
1241 Bt Merah ends at 1947 Hougang. Meal break at 1519 Bt Merah -- correct
1245 Hougang ends at 1822 Hougang. Meal break at 1406 Bt Merah.
You gave too much meal break?
S shift starts later at 1658 (takes bus from Int), ends 1933 Hougang without going back depot. The section which u mentioned belongs to a P shift duty.2.
S198 Sat is 10 A, 11 P, 1 S 3 E 3 T. In addition 1 full day duty parking overnight at Bt Merah.
E shifts:
0552 Bt Merah, 1300 Boon Lay, ends 1836 Boon Lay
0625 Boon Lay, 1137 Boon Lay, ends 1824 Bt Merah then do S272.
0635 Boon Lay, Starts 1148 Bt Merah as S272 then joins S198 at 1252hrs, ends 1934 Boon Lay.
S shift
0653 Bt Merah till 1215hrs Bt Merah (dont need to keep bus), then takes a new bus block (i.e. morning never run) 1613hrs Boon Lay, ends 2002hrs Bt Merah with the same bus and keeps there while a P shift takes over the bus.3.

does 2 round trips from Boon Lay starting at 1205hrs. It will depart boon lay again after meal break at 1520hrs. -

even if drivers reach int lambat until no more mealbreak time. they will still have to have a mealbreak, its kinda like a regulation. mealbreaks for p shift occur within the range of 5-8pm from what i've noticed.

whatever the driver does, it will not affect the fact that he will get a mealbreak time at the minimum. i know some drivers prefer to spend their breaks buying the food and eating it during their official mealbreak. -

1. All the P shifts including the additional P shift start from Bt Merah. If 198 does not have jump bus, it would be the additional P shift taking out the additional bus. However, for this case, its the S shift that takes the additional bus out (refer to earlier post for timings). But if you want..21P starts 1604hrs Bt Merah. He is the last P shift to start.
2. S198 Wkday E shifts
1. 0714hrs Boon Lay for half trip. then 1144hrs Boon Lay ending 1831hrs Bt Merah. Jump bus once due to meal break at Bt Merah.
2. 0637hrs Boon Lay for 1 trip, jump bus in the morning. then 1243hrs Bt Merah ending 1932hrs Boon Lay. Jump bus 2nd time due to meal break at Bt Merah.
3. 0616hrs Boon Lay for 1 trip, jump bus in the morning. then 1241hrs Boon Lay ending 1809hrs Boon Lay. Jump bus 2 times in the afternoon - earlier for normal break, 2nd time for meal break. The driver will bring this bus back to Bt Merah for overnight parking.Just to aid you, this overnight parking bus is brought out by an A shift driver at 0620hrs Bt Merah.
3. S196 S WAB Shifts

1. 0545hrs from Clementi, ends 0941hrs Bedok for morning. then 1538hrs Clementi ending 1947hrs.

There's such a timing of 0941hrs arrival at Bedok. You need to piece the trips together to arrive at that timing.yes arrive 0922hrs clementi but doesnt off service from there. If not the trips after that doesnt match.
nope 0933hrs. Your this error and the BB split have the same problem. There's operation of 196As during peak period btw, its not restricted to 196e buses only.
S72 Sat T Shift
1. 0814hrs Tampines ends 1851hrs Tampines. Jumps twice.
2. 0906hrs Tampines ends 1833hrs YCK. Jumps twice.
3. 0859hrs YCK ends 1939hrs YCK, passing the bus to the P shift. Jumps once.S153 Wkday E shift
1. 1206hrs Bt Merah ends 1917hrs Hougang.
2. 1230hrs Hougang ends 1820hrs Hougang
3. 1305hrs Hougang ends 1850hrs Hougang.
All meal breaks at Hougang.
