now i really wonder if there really is a WAB bendy bus available, since spore wants all buses to be WAB in time to come. bendy buses r like logos to SMRT.

You gotta be kidding right? where did you hear that from??
So in Singapore's transportation history 25 years, Bendies are introduced for a short stint with good success and later retired, with no more bendies introduced by SMRT (then- TIBS) due to excuses.
i find bendies are more practical then double decks due to Singapore's height restriction. If the bendies are deployed on the correct routes they can be pretty efficeint.
people complain it being long is very dangerous..
and our busstops can only accommodate one bendy at a time.. quite a problem especially on rainy days, peak hour.

There's nothing to joke about. It is a sad thing.

Double edged sword. Sad. Double deck, height restrictions, Bendies? people complain it's long. It's worse in Britain actually. Can't help it but to accept fate.
then they have to make do by getting more WABs O500LE or something
2 regular-sized buses of same svc occupying a bus-stop due to replace a bendy to cope pax demand; does it help to reduce queue length at a bus-stop or road space? or does SMRT wants to return to old Tibs era with only regular-sized buses but always filled with sardine packed pax? is SMRT afraid of being labelled as copy cat and thats why they refused to purchase double-deckers?
Though theres a shortage of drivers as mentioned by the bus companies, it seems that SMRT is still keeping to only regular sized buses. so how to increase productively and cope with huge pax load esp when out govt wants to encourage even more people to use public transport? worse still, if the bus in front breaks down, the subsequent buses are unlikely to be able to take in these stranded pax.

i feel the best is to use a mixture of SD regulars, DD and bendies and deploy according to route and pax demand. however preference should be given for DD as it has high pax capacity and doesn't occupy more road space. only when it faces route conditions such as height restrictions should they deploy bendies. look at svc 190 as example, how much road space does 2 bendies occupy vs 2 DD vs 3 SD regulars, esp when it plies along crowded Orchard Rd?
Both are good IMO,So after this maybe we can see SMRT dds?Think SBST also focus on more SDs

on the other hand, i feel that SBST needs more DDs
afterall, the main objective is to have regular-sized (12m) buses that carry high pax. loads such as more standing capacity.

I feel that SD are more reliable for the less than 15 mins during peak hours rules for certain services
