  The situation is NEVER improving.. 2 Sundays back, by 11am, the overcrowding situation on Service 980 buses were solved, but just last Sunday night, last 2nd bus (TIB1002X) was still overcrowded, and to think that the SMRT staff bluff the Banglas that the next (and last bus) will be a bendy, but turned out to be TIB572Z.. Thankfully every Banglas can board the last bus and it wasn't very overcrowded by then..

  Deploying bendies on TQ shifts will not help.

  Agreed,They should deploy bendies from Fridays,Weekends @ PHs and not just Weekends.I strongly feedback to SMRT about this and the reply as usual "We will look into this matter".

  Tell u guys what.

  1. Modify all buses including the bendies such that there is increased standing passenger load

  2. Increase freq.. If not possible due to shortage of buses, maybe ask sbs to ply parallel routes

  Perhaps SMRT can add 1 more trip to start from Bugis MRT after the last bus for 980 from Geylang Lor 1 so that at least they can go back to dorm although they may have to wait longer and it may be squeezy too but its the best solution apart from deploying additional bendies or having to sleep on the grass patch.
