Monthly Bus Concession = Immunity to Fare Cheat Fine?

  Hi, I've noticed that the new fines for fare cheats and evaders have kicked in,which means a hefty fine for them.

   

  Then i was thinking, for those people who bought the monthly bus concession($52), say if during the unfortunate event of them forgetting to tap their cards(commonly during crowded buses where they are more pre-occupied trying to squeeze in,as with the same for cars at the Causeway ) and there happened to be a bus conductor on board, will they be immune to the fare cheat penalty?

  Because, fare evaders and cheaters refers to people who do not pay their fares, but in bus concession holders' place,they are technically paying the fare beforehand as in pre-payment mode so that do not count as fare evasion?

   

  PS: And, i think there should be longer monthly concession schemes as the per month-only option available now is too troublesome,at least for me which i think tri-monthly options are better.And,logically there would be discounts for longer term concession wouldnt there?

  well only for buses I think, since bus concession entitles one to unlimited rides. But not true for SMRT as its limited to 4 rides a day, so it wld be cheating if you already take 4 rides and sneak past the entry gate for the 5th ride!  lololol....

  if u can squeeze thru the gate in and the gate out without being noticed, den hafta give it to u lo.. u brave enuf not to scared get giap tio by the gate lol..

  anyway nw there's nobody checking ppl taking mrt too.. haha..

  That is only for trains concession stamps. For bus concession stamps, one is entitled to unlimited bus rides into basic bus services during the day.
