really troublesome of LTA not informing the two major bus companies.
It would be good for BCs to memorise the routes.

Of course LTA will inform the bus operators. The problem is in passing the information from the operators to their own staff. You must understand that the bus companies don't have a morning assembly for all their drivers every day. The most efficient way of disseminating information is through circulars, but
- Not all drivers may pay attention to what's on the notice board
- Even if they do, it is difficult to react when they actually see the road for the first time.

the route is the same. just that they need to be careful about the 2 splitting portions not to turn into the wrong one as they are not obvious. drivers heading to upp sgoon are used to just keeping in second lane. it is also due to poor diversions made.
there's a massive jam going on now @ serangoon rd..

a lot of jams nowadays there, especially with the road diversion.
last time can form up at 2nd lane... now gotta form up at 3rd lane
same goes to cars at Whompoa North, I fear accident is going to happen
e 3rd lane is now for turning to Upp S'goon/ Macpherson, no more proceeding straight

i think most likely those case of going wrong lanes, are standby BC/SL lah... for perm drivers, usually they will pass news around also..

Agree, i think they just use font size 36-72, which is awfully small for BC to spot, it looks more for pedestrain than BC. Should print them on plaques.
