Or chartered school bus to ferry workers

yes companies even charter buses as a benefit to the workers to also help ease their transport costs especially in such places. ![]()
so long as the companies in the affected area dont write in to SBST with proof & enough justification that more buses are needed, i guess there's no reason to say it is a neglected service.

I seriously dont know what is wrong in your mind and complaining and nagging every single day that this service and that service does not get Scania K230UBs or there are "Not enough" Scania K230UBs on a particular service.

Last time got DD NAC.donno why now no more?
What?
There is such a thing as "neglected services"??
Haha! I respect your opinions but I really don't believe in such a thing like "neglected services".
There are reasons unseen to us that caused such deployments which, obviously, do not favour some of us.
And the 'old buses deployment' issue goes on. Unless SBST buys 2000 single decks and put them into service all at the same time, we will continue to see services with the older buses in operations. If we can live with them all this while (before the new ones were even ordered), why can't we now? Must the new ones be put on every single service available?
Then again, I'm still puzzled as to why the CAC 113s are being laid-up when a number of the NACs are still running. Shouldn't they do that to the NACs and let the CACs running??

Maybe due to the demand. Don't forget that service 410's route duplicates with service 52 and 162 along Bishan St 22, Sin Ming Ave all the way to Shunfu Estate along Upp Thomson Rd.
Yup, if I am not wrong service 410 had those NAC LO2x as well as the MB0305s. And once in 2005 there was even a VSO on service 410 too.

not really 'neglected', during qing ming, at least 15 - 20 people take that bus to the cemetery if they have no car

Normally used by the Tengah Airbase, Police Academy, Murai Camp etc personnels during weekday peak hours.

You can still see most of the NAC DDs serving in Jurong West / Tuas areas ![]()
i think service 68 was neglected, at times i saw passenger look so sotong when dat service pull in broading berth as bc awaiting passenger to broad, sad!
5 yrs n 2 mths, so sad sbs going to withdraw dat poor service
Think service 3 in the past also. Though it is a so called highly-utilised trunk service from Tampines to Punggol it only has Scania N113 CRB and Volvo MK3 fleets, no Volvo MK4 perms or a DD. Until when the Scania K230UBs are introduced on service 3 too ![]()
Is sv 195 counted? Last time got mkIVs, SBS999U. Now only full fleet mk3s.

Yes we know that. He is trying to say that S195 fleet comprises of SBS999U AND Mark4s.

Yup, it was SBST's demonstrator. It got the same engine sound with the Tibs' bendies.
First started off with ARBP service 195 in 1998, after which it landed in BNDEP and deployed on services 18 and 290. The bus was then sold off to New Zealand somewhere in 2006 together with SBS998Y (Volvo MK4 bendy).

I agree. Some services are meant to stay the way they used to be. And luckily 136 is still full Merc SD fleet. ![]()
