Bus Services approved by the PTC in April, May, June 2008

New plates of service 5N have been placed along its "new" bus-stops along Jurong West Avenue 1. Certainly look forward to spotting them...

Both HGDEP & BBDEP, then HGDEP & SLBP. After the route got shortened, it went under pure SLBP control. Former Express 507 was under BBDEP and then shifted over to SLBP with 502.
Think Express 507 was all the while under SLBP control, Volvo MK4 DM3500 were deployed. -

Economic downturn. A lot of retrenchments. Lesser people taking bus. No need for new services. Oh no!

No. People who own cars find it hard to continue owning them so they change to buses/MRT. Taxis are getting less affordable too -

u see ah, ptc approves 117 in jul. sbst has 6 mths to implement it else the application will lapse. so dec will be the deadline. and so we have a month and a half to see 117 else, we can wait long long already.
and btw, we still havent seen aug - nov bus service application. we may have withdrawal, mergers, new routes, amendments blah blah blah..... if it is the former few that have more then we can see 117 implementing earlier...

I see. Let's hope it comes out real soon. Cant wait to see how the service runs. A lot of Training Buses on SBST Buses recently. Maybe more drivers now le. Perhaps 117 can come out real soon. =)

Doesn't mean PTC approve the service, SBS Transit will put it on the roads. -

Just think, the service just got approved, but isn't ready to be on the roads in an early date. we have to be patient and wait for the results to surface. -

It's called "apply first see how".
No point planning everything, then try and apply and PTC doesn't approve. Send in the application first, then do the rest of the planning.

Been seeings lots of SBST Training buses running PIE/BKE. No idea twds where d'oh, because 190 always manages to overtake them :P
