10 mark 4 for weekends and PH(whole day)
I guess dont merge still the best, because we dont need 5 buses to flood Clementi Ave 4 during peak hours. 96's and 284's demand are very different as tanjun had said earlier, so it's best to leave both services as it is. I guess scrap the 78 + 284 idea too, 78 can be super packed during peak hours.

I was thinking that residents living along Hougang Ave 1 and Lor Ah Soo don't have direct bus service to the CBD, so this service will bring them the benefits, such as travelling to Marina Centre and Chinatown.118/118M: Punggol to Shenton Way (Weekdays) / Punggol to Marina Centre (Night and Weekends)

(118M would loop around Suntec area like most other services)I feel that there should be at least 1 bus service to the CBD from Punggol. I'm also thinking whether this service should serve MacPherson Estate as well, since there's no direct bus to Shenton Way from there. But that would add travel time for Sengkang and Punggol residents. What do you think?
you can access KPE via paya lebar rd

- Ang Mo Kio Ave 3

This will provide better links between Sembawang, Ang Mo Kio and Bishan. Besides, it also serves Ang Mo Kio and Bishan MRT stations.

wonder what svcs can be amended to use KPE

Just wondering: If the Ayer Rajah Expressway is shortened as "AYE", why isn't the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway shortened as "KLE" but as "KPE"?

ARE is an english word?
KLE looks like KJE which already exists? Just my thoughts.

Slipped my mind =).
But KPE is called Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway, so I don't see anything wrong with the first 3 letters mah..can't have a 4 letter acryomn eway.
The name Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway is an amalgamation of two place names: Kallang and Paya Lebar. It only makes sense to make use of the first letters of each of the two place names that gave their names to the expressway as the acronym.
I still remember that when I first heard about the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway, I thought they were mentioning two distinct expressways: Kallang Expressway and Paya Lebar Expressway.

like i said before short routes have their purpose. service 96 and 200 load pattern and demand is different
dun just anyhow come up with some merger e.g 78 and 79.

agree. 200 was to carter to those in the north bouna vista region and it does not click with 96. one mad merger would be 42 and 43

I don't think there is a need to reroute 55 and 76 to Bedok.
1. 25 and 55 follows closely to each other from AMK Ave 3 all the way to Jalan Eunos. 55 I guess is probably a relieving service to 25 loads during peak hours. Service 25 has already provided the link from AMK, AMK Ave 3, Hougang Ave 3, Eunos MRT. Plus there is a 854 to Bedok too from Hougang Ave 3 onwards. In addition to all this, there are numerous services from Marine Parade to Bedok like 16, 31, 196, 197. Besides, the route that you are suggesting follows closely with service 16. Though it provides a new link from Siglap Rd to Jalan Eunos, Hougang Ave 3, it has also provided numerous fare stages duplication with the other bus services.
2. For service 76, similarly, service 25 provides the link from AMK Ave 3 to Bedok. Next, service 24 provides the link from Upper Paya Lebar Rd, Paya Lebar Rd to Bedok which 76 plies. When it proceeds to Tg Katong Rd, 31 does the job. When it reaches Marine Parade, 31, 196, 197 has done their job. The only new link that has created is from AMK Ave 4 to Bedok.
